Throughout my career, I have acquired extensive knowledge and worked in various data analytics roles including data analysis, business intelligence development, data science, data governance, and data engineering. Nowadays, my passion is to combine this knowledge to build data analytics capabilities in organizations to drive business value and ensure competitive advantage. Currently, I am leading a dedicated internal data analytics team and our Data Analytics Center of Excellence at Riga City Council where I am responsible for all end-to-end data analytics projects (BI implementation and development, ad-hoc data analysis support, data infrastructure and engineering, open data initiatives, AI/ML projects, data governance, etc.). Our short-term goal is to deliver data-driven solutions to augment city operations, promote transparency, cultivate innovation and data-driven decision-making, while our long-term goal is to become the largest technical public sector data analytics competency center and provide data analytics services to other Latvian government institutions and municipalities.
