Determine whether systems related to funeral orders can be improved and suggest where systems can be updated and being involved in the development of new systems
Attend meetings with business analysts and programmers concerning requests or enquiries related to systems issues or failures.
Adherence to all regulatory requirements, for example the FSB's rules and principles, Data Protection Act and Money Laundering regulations.  
Awareness of the Group's policies and procedures, and the regulations relevant to your role.
Ensure that all relevant debits and credits are allocated against representative debtor accounts. 
Ensure that all rectifications are completed relating to funeral orders and stock caused by representative errors and commission allocated. 
Conduct meetings with the Distribution support department regarding circulars and memorandums and ensure these are aligned with systems and system changes.
Ensure that all funeral service commission rectifications are completed for funeral representatives.
Balance all funeral commission ASCII files which must be provided to the Financial manager for authorisation and to be submitted to the Salaries department before the salary deadline of each month.
Provide management with the monthly funeral statistics and ensure that any discrepancies are resolved timeously as well as to compile the monthly departmental report submitted for review by the Financial manager.
Evaluate stock issues at funeral agencies, investigate slow moving stock items and report issues to Finance and Distribution support department.
Analyse cash and credit card collections at all branches regarding funerals and premiums and report on irregularities.
Analyse and evaluate work methods of the department to ensure effective workflow and to make the department more cost effective.
Handling of enquiries by Provincial Management and Funeral representatives and any referrals
where needed.

Visit all branches to establish if all policy and procedures are being adhered to.
Surprise cash counts at branches in order to determine if all Treasury, ATM, and teller are balancing towards all relevant accounts..
Reporting of any anomalies that might be identified at a branch to the General Manger: Operations and Implementation.
Assist branches with the implementation with any system changes or new systems being implemented.
