My duties included validating the permit to work, delivering tool box talk, ensuring the gas test being conducted by an authorized gas tester in the work site ( process facilities). Planning and executing the days' work safely with a crew of not less than 100 people including supervisors, foremen, chargehands and workers. Ensuring the work is in progress with the method statements and quality standards. Continuous monitoring and supervision of the work and crew members. Conveying the drawing details at site, updating any changes in the drawings after discussion with the project planner. Help to prepare As-built drawings if necessary. Meet the production targets within the time frameworks. Submitting the Daily Progress report to the construction manager (and client manager if necessary). Checking for feasibility of the progress of work by co-ordinating with other disciplines of the work like mechanical, electrical and instrumentation branches. Evacuation of the crew members to a safe assembly point in case of any poisonous gas leakage or fire hazards. Overall responsibility for adhering to the permit to work system in compliance with the ADNOC HSE policies.
