Guided the planning, development, execution, communication, and sustainment of the organization's health care business strategy, including growth through acquisition and collaborative partnerships, at a multi-city, five county community based health care organization with 14 locations. 

Maintained implementation of an effective compliance program to prevent illegal, unethical or improper conduct, and actions inconsistent with rules and regulations of regulatory agencies, company policies and procedures, and the company’s Standards of Conduct.

Indiana Primary Health Care Association

Plan, execute, and implement performance improvment initiaitves to strengthen the financial stability, operations, and revenue cycle elements of health centers in Indiana.  The project focus areas for quality performance improvements are increasing efficiencies, revenue optimization, financial readiness for strategic capital financing, and implementing processes for budgeting and budget monitoring.  This newly developed project initiative was funded by the Kresge Foundation and supported by IFF - a community development financial institution - and Fiscal Management Associates.

FitCity, a division of Learning Well, Inc.

Joined this organization as the only full-time staff to redesign and relaunch its social marketing campaign to fight childhood obesity to achieve its position as a leading resource for families, especially those served at over 90 school based health clinics within Marion County, Indiana.  Develop and implement strategies for the $1.4 million social marketing campaign to fight childhood obesity in Marion County and central Indiana. Facilitate open lines of communication with Advisory Board members, youth and their families, and distinguished community business, religious, and educational leaders. The FitCity initiative was part of a national Mayor supported effort and locally funded by the Health Foundation of Greater Indianapolis and the seven-year funding commitment was successfully fulfilled in June 2012.

Aetna

Served as the first Member Services Manager for Indiana Care Select with Schaller Anderson, an Aetna Company, for a new statewide public health coverage managed care program for people in need of the most complex, integrated health care services. Designed member service training and conducted operational assessments for implementation of integrated business plan with all business units. Negotiated and monitored contracts for transportation and translation services for materials for approximately 25,000 members.

Manager, Member Services

Directed strategies to advocate for policies that were successfully legislated by the Indiana General Assembly to increase access to primary care for over 350,000 people. Developed objectives, budget, and strategies to attain goals identified by the national program office. Served as public relations/media contact. Developed framework for sustainable health center operational models. Advocated and represented member interests by working with local and state agencies to resolve issues with Medicaid enrollment process. Executed strategic growth technical assistance plans for community health centers.

I derive great satisfaction from collaborating with individuals to establish and implement strategic and enduring outcomes. My passion lies in continuous learning, fostering engagement as a thought partner, mentoring others, and exploring novel approaches to create impactful opportunities and solutions.

Additionally, I find immense fulfillment in volunteering and supporting local animal rescue organizations.
