Accounting for Bitcoin Web3 & Open Blockchain Enterprises

I am researching and developing CREDU as a verified credentialing, ​audit and marketplace ​platform for accountants’ ​continuous professional ​education (CPE) and ​development (CPE) as a project with Digital Playhouse Foundation Ltd, using open source technologies. 

The intention is to solve inefficiencies in aggregating, ​tracking, verifying and ​monetising CPE/CPD for accountants, addressing their challenges in meeting professional requirements and public expectations of competency, and monetising their specialist knowledge. 

Professional bodies, valuing the quality of their membership and needing to cut costs, can easily audit and publicly share the CPE/CPD compliance rating and expertise of their membership with proof on open blockchain. I believe that creating this level of transparency will renew the public trust in my profession.

Ultimately, I want CREDU to give the individuals and associations that demonstrate the highest standards of knowledge, integrity and transparency a competitive advantage in the digital economy. 

We need to form a team of skilled professionals and developers to drive this project with me, with a 5-10 year roadmap for global adoption.

Stacks Australia

As a Stacks Advocate, raising awareness of Stacks' utility as a Bitcoin layer 2 for smart contracts, through content creation, personal interactions and public speaking engagements. 

This includes articulating the value proposition of Stacks to a broader enterprise audience, to include business decision-makers, investors and partners. 

Organising and overseeing meetings and events to foster a deeper understanding of Bitcoin L1 and L2 technology and its applications among enterprise stakeholders. 

Working closely with the Stacks Australia Leads to strategically tailor communication and engagement efforts that meet the diverse needs and interests of each stakeholder group, from founders and developers to network participants to investors.

Digital Playhouse Foundation is a purpose built charity with the ACNC - a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) recognised for 'Advancing social or public welfare'. The School of Bitcoin and Stacks Australia are current digital literacy projects.

A "School of Arts" for industry 5.0... As Australia progresses with its Digital Economy Strategy 2030, we address the problem of a lack of Digital Skills and Financial Literacy in populations where there is a high level of at-risk young people and self-employed. 

OUR CHARITABLE PURPOSE:
Financial literacy and inclusion go hand in hand. Our purpose is provide benevolent relief to socially and/or financially disadvantaged individuals to enable them to access emerging technologies and to reskill with digital technologies that create inclusive and sustainable economic growth and achievement of full and productive employment and decent work for all. Our focus is on communities where our most disadvantaged Australians are at risk of being left behind. 

OUR DAO WHITEPAPER (in development):
Our Board is researching the application of Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) to manage its charitable value chain, records of transactions and governance. Decentralised, public blockchains are immutable and 100% transparent for all to see. By harnessing the Bitcoin blockchain for a Decentralised Autonomous Organisation (DAO) to power the Foundation's investment fund, rewards and DOA governance will resource long term objectives without dependence on external grants.

A project I lead under Digital Playhouse Foundation to maximise the charity's social impact. Webinars, training, consulting and speaking for crypto-curious accountants, bookkeepers and advisers learning to support SME businesses adopting Web 3.0 and innovating within their own practices.  

We learn to use crypto subledger tools with our accounting software, participate in DAO research and blockchain accounting projects, explore tax agent ethics and competencies, and help each other solve crypto accounting and tax problems.

Accountants On-Chain is a Digital Playhouse Foundation social project to develop new business support models for the emerging decentralised digital economy.

Originally based in inner city Sydney, my practice has operated remotely since 2016 in Agnes Water, QLD, near the Southern Great Barrier Reef. I'm also a digital nomad, most recently as a member of the first cohort at The Network School, in Singapore/Malaysia, where I contributed my cross-sectional knowledge of accounting, tax and Bitcoin.

100% paperless and digital native since the noughties, I've consistently innovated within my practice to keep everything contemporary, super efficient and fun. Technology is at the core of how we do business, and I believe in open and permissionless systems.

Recognising the socially transformative potential of Bitcoin and open blockchains, matched by a growing need for digital financial literacy skills everywhere, I co-founded a Bitcoin focused charity and learning hub with my friend Gordon Christian (in Agnes Water-1770, Australia's First Digital Currency Town in 2018).

Since commencing an Advanced Diploma of Applied Blockchain in 2022, I'm helping accountants to more confidently navigate and advise on their clients’ innovative crypto activities.
