Since 2000, I've specialised in accounting and tax for arts & entertainment businesses, creative technologists, digital entrepreneurs, crypto-native organisations, and global founders navigating Australia’s international tax rules. From my early days in inner-city Sydney, to remote Qld, and now being based in Perth and part of Balaji Srinivasan’s The Network School in Singapore/Malaysia, I’ve consistently modernised accounting practices and services to support the evolving digital economy. I continue to provide specialist advisory and web3 accounting services, working remotely with clients worldwide. My practice has been digital-native since before it was cool, bringing efficiency and financial legitimacy to emerging business models that don't fit the mould. I don't just adapt to change. I first solved the accounting for business Bitcoin payments in 2013, and I'd built an advanced digital practice well before the pandemic made remote systems mainstream. We've always been positioned to support clients at the cutting edge - now I’m building what comes next. As co-founder of the Digital Playhouse Foundation Ltd, a PBI charity advancing social welfare, I help at-risk communities and individuals gain Bitcoin focused financial literacy skills. Our early work in Agnes Water - Australia’s first “Digital Currency Town” - set the tone for how grassroots adoption can catalyse local resilience and inclusion in the global digital economy. Now, my focus is expanding to: 🟧 Accounting on decentralised infrastructure 🟧 Bitcoin’s unit-of-account function for financial reporting and value tracking 🟧 Design open systems for verifying professional reputation and continuous learning (e.g., CREDU for CPD/CPE on Bitcoin Layer 2, Stacks) 🟧 Map accounting competencies to support sovereign individuals and startup societies aligned with The Network State. The accounting profession already knows how to uphold standards, ensure transparency, and act as trusted advocates. My goal is to carry this legacy into the decentralised economy - equipping one million accountants to collaborate across borders, administer on-chain standards, reinvent regulations, and uphold financial integrity beyond traditional institutions.
