Senior Designer

As a Senior Graphic Designer with Cushman & Wakefield, I was responsible for supporting brokerage staff in the Portland office with all Design and Marketing needs. This role was unique in that I was responsible for creative services, as well as project management. I designed and developed extensive digital and print presentation decks, monthly print ads for business journals, email campaigns for quarterly market data updates (including information graphics), illustrations and graphics for proposals and market reports, internal event collateral, property brand development, property marketing deliverables, and interior graphics (during an office renovation process). When I was not personally photographing events, property interiors/exteriors, and portraits, I was responsible for working with photographers to coordinate photography needs. Printed materials required file and color preparation, as well as budgeting and coordinating execution and delivery with print vendors.

As a member of the Marketing Team, I provided graphic design and photography solutions to the Portland structural engineers and the Global branch of the firm. I worked in collaboration with the Marketing Director and the Marketing Coordinator, but was often approached directly by engineers to produce a variety of collateral. I had many opportunities to design and develop detailed and educational presentations, books, brochures and other print materials, artwork/decor for our office space, information graphics for proposals and presentations, and technical illustrations for reports, presentations and proposals (floor plans, sections, building performance, seismic activity, columns, beams, post-tensioning systems, bridges and bridge sections, building phasing documents, etc.,) Along with my print and digital design experience, I was also able to focus on architectural and construction photography, portrait photography, and video production and editing, with light animated graphics.

Designed a variety of deliverables, including greeting cards, typographic compositions, banners, and flyers. Along with general promotional materials, I was also responsible for creating postcards, event programs, placards, and signage for "The Art of Play," a fundraising art auction.

Responsible for the care and education of thirteen preschool students, age 4. This institution was for highly advanced, talented and gifted, young minds. I taught high level courses, of various subjects, in English. Subjects included Theme (changing topics related to health, science, cultures, our environment, jobs/careers, the arts etc.,) Math, Reading, Writing, Art, and Phonics. I was responsible for creating lesson plans, developing PowerPoint presentation lessons, developing curriculum - worksheets, supplemental learning aids, completing research, etc., speaking directly to parents regarding each student's progress, and making sure the students had fun while learning.

While in this position, I was given the opportunity to create print collateral for various school events. I designed two program booklets for both Open House, and the Winter Musical, along with smaller projects.

I taught English courses, and various subjects (in English), to elementary age students of various language levels. Most classes included lessons in English grammar, reading, writing, and speaking. I was responsible for lesson planning, curriculum development, assessing each student's level, completing report cards, and developing syllabi. During this time, I also had the opportunity to teach art, and some craft projects, to preschool students.
