Assessment of residential, commercial and industrial Development Applications. The role also involved negotiation with applicants and developers to achieve compliance while ensuring quality urban outcomes.

Responsible for providing urban planning advice on relevant State and Local planning controls to customers. I also assessed fast track Development Applications.

The Planning Boardroom

This website was the only dedicated forum for the NSW urban planning industry. It was established as an information service for urban planners, architects, developers, residents and other professionals. Articles were published on major issues influencing the planning industry. The Planning Boardroom also featured a fortnightly newsletter, fact sheets, latest news around Australia, videos and interviews.

Responsible for the daily management of projects for private clients. Some projects included alterations to existing commuter car parks, a community facility complex, a rooftop spa, alterations to a school rowing centre, and a dual occupancy. Two major projects that I was responsible for included: 

- A $70 million seniors living development in Castle Hill
- A town square development comprising two 8-9 storey residential buildings in Gladesville.

Urban Planner

Waverley Council

The Waverley Council area is the second-most densely populated in NSW. I assisted customers in resolving their enquiries by providing professional advice. Customers ranged from home owners, home buyers, developers, architects and planners.

Duty Planner

Urbis

I was responsible for the preparation of Development Applications for high profile retail, residential and industrial projects. The role also required me to prepare a retail monitor for a major shopping centre owner. For the last six months I was responsible for assisting Telstra's expansion of its 3G mobile phone network throughout metropolitan and regional NSW.
