The whiplash life of a law firm owner….

Taylor Swift once said, “If it’s the first week of my album release and you’re saying either my name or my album title, you’re helping.”

That line hit me.

Running a law firm feels a lot like that.
People always have opinions about your fees, your decisions, your team, your tone, you.🙈

One conversation, you’re the hero.
An hour later, you’re the villain.

That’s the whiplash of leadership.
It can leave you dizzy if you forget who you are and what you’re building.🤪

She also said, “Our goal as entertainers is to be a mirror.”🪞

Leadership is a mirror too.
Our teams reflect our energy, our fears, our growth edges.
When we see burnout or disengagement, we have to look first at ourselves.

How we’re showing up.
What we’re modeling.

It’s humbling. It’s uncomfortable.
But that’s where the shift starts.

And then she said, “When I’m making my music, I know what I made. I know I adore it.” 💜

That one stopped me.
Because that’s what keeps so many of us going.
Beneath the noise, we know we’ve built something we believe in.
Something that’s ours, shaped by heart, by years, by grit.

Owning a firm is like performing under bright lights. 🪩
You give everything you’ve got, take your hits, and keep showing up.

But somewhere in that rhythm, you learn not to ride the highs or sink into the lows.
