Hey there. 👋 I’m a big believer in the power of stories so let me tell you a bit of mine. My parents fled Communist Romania in 1981 and eventually made their way to Canada. I grew up on a beautiful 60-acre farm near Woodstock, Ontario. Wanting to escape rural life, I moved to Ottawa, got a degree, and eventually entered the workforce as a technical recruiter and executive headhunter. I was launched into the world of tech and SaaS, connecting software developers, architects, and QA folks with new opportunities. Soon started placing VPs and c-level sales and operations executives. Nothing like having someone scoff at a $500k+ OTE to get you thinking about your own life choices… When people tell you they get into software sales for the money, they’re not lying. I wanted to make more so that’s exactly what I did. Spent 6+ years in the HCM space with Ceridian and after my second mat leave, made the decision to switch it up and get into the MarTech game. It was a logical next step for me. I was already “outgrowing” my role in sales, not so much interested in “hunting” and “killing quota” anymore. I was hungry to learn about the world of marketing and GTM and what it meant to build long-term relationships and partnerships with customers- helping THEM succeed. More importantly, I wanted to understand what it took for marketing and sales teams to be better partners. Moving from a publicly-traded, $1b+ global company with a pretty aggressive M&A strategy, I was really looking forward to being part of a smaller, more agile organization. But as we all know, things rarely go as planned. It wasn’t a month before a merger of equals was announced. What seemed overnight, three companies were soon to become one. A year later, I’ve decided to step away from the B2B tech world and head into a new direction as Director of Growth for MADHUB- a creative brand and performance agency focused on doing things differently.
