Building partnerships and leading strategic marketing and communication plans is what I do. I'm driven to produce my best work when I support passionate people and companies doing great work designed to make a difference. ❖ I began my career leading promotion campaigns for public TV series and specials at WGBH Boston. For nine of those years, I was lead publicist for top-rated kids' series Arthur. The series' inspiring storylines sparked me to create a deep range of brand building and cause marketing campaigns. This grew successful strategic partnerships with leading organizations, including The Environmental Protection Agency (asthma episode), The Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (peanut allergy episode), and National Braille Press (blindness episode). ❖ At the non-profit film organization SIFF, I worked alongside a talented group of passionate movie-lovers to further the organization's mission of creating one-of-a-kind film experiences. In addition to leading the strategic planning and marketing and communications, I personally was responsible for securing all media sponsorships, which equaled on average $1.7 million per year. ❖ As Pacific Place Director of Marketing, I created partnerships with top cultural organizations. These strategic alliances were a win-win, inspiring engaging promotions for our customers that led to increased traffic to our retailers. For example, I created a cross-promotion with Seattle Art Museum’s record-breaking Picasso exhibit, which generated thousands of dollars in our shopping center gift card sales while driving awareness of the museum's exhibit. ❖ As an independent communications consultant, I managed and wrote an REI Stewardship Report. I was brought on to help meet a tight deadline and the excitement I felt while immersing myself in details of REI's social and environmental strategy and impacts fueled me to deliver a superb report on time even with added scope.
