A founding partner of NBM Group, Ellen created a born global Hotel & Leisure Property Development company incorporated in Singapore to bring offshore accessibility and structure to the group. An experienced accountant and company director with entrepreneurial success in business acquisition and start-up, she brings knowledge of cultural diversity from an international perspective having gained significant expertise in corporate and executive development through consultancy, coaching and mentoring across a broad range of business sectors from Construction Engineering and Retail in South Africa; the Arts in RSA and UK; Direct Marketing, Call Centre & Warehousing, and Hotel & Leisure in UK; Mobile Telecommunications in EMEA from UAE; to Veterinary Hospital services in mainland Europe. Forming a consultancy in 1994; for 28 years Ellen has specialised in all things corporate in the SME sector, providing client services to private HNWI and referred corporates, to delivering the Scottish Chamber of Commerce and Scottish Enterprise Trust membership, numerous bespoke development programmes. Ellen has provided boardroom governance, expert help and corporate growth strategies to literally hundreds of individuals & organisations; leading teams around the world in achieving corporate start-up, expansion & growth, and professional service sector merger & acquisition. From the Carrier Devices Group of Companies (Australia, UK, USA and UAE), envisioned round her kitchen table in October 2000, came the innovatively branded iMate mobile telecommunications company achieving a £350MM flotation in 2005, with iMate Development Inc.(USA) launching the INTELegent HUB at Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2013. To the later highlight, transitioning a two partner clinic trading 12 years in Firenze, to become the first 24/7-365 Veterinary Hospital & Reference Centre in Toscana well within a 3year business plan; introducing a first-in-kind Clinic Referral Management (CRM) initiative in Italy, which attracted approaches from: Anicura, Pet Family and finally Vet Partners accepted in November 2019. A similar project was subsequently completed in mainland Spain developing a community hospital and five outreach clinics as a group, and repositioned for a potential buyout. Ellen, was awarded an MBA in Finance, and the Sir Paul Girolami medal for Strategic Management from Strathclyde Graduate Business School in 1996 and is a student in the DBA (doctoral) programme at the Paris School of Business, researching ‘’Becoming a Family Business as a Staged Element of the Business Life Cycle.’’
