iSENTIUM is a Miami starup focused on predicting stockmarket trends using NLP and Social Media.

As the Principal Software Engineer at iSentium, my task is to transform science into product. In this case, from leading edge NLP science and Machine Learning Algorithms into a parallel sentiment analysis AI engine that helps to predict trends in the Stock Market.

In addition to software development, other tasks included AWS Linux System Management. Through these efforts, efficiencies were found to reduce the company's operating expenses.
Some software created:
❏		Parallel processing Spam Filter for weeding out twitter spam, written in Java.
❏		A date indexed file system to provide high speed and optimized access to 16 Terabytes of twitter and sentiment data.
❏		Turning single threaded NLP AI engine into a high speed, parallel Natural Language Processing engine. (Running on 128 core , 2TB Linux instance)
❏		Create a token authorization system to provide data protection accessed via the web. Using DES encryption for token encryption and decryption.

Principal Software Engineer - AI/ML/Data Science

❏	Programming live video human form recognition, using OpenCV and CUDA running on high performance NVIDIA hardware. This was used to cancel false alarms on a video surveillance system being deployed on Cruise Ships for large a cruise line.
❏	Choice of Machine Learning Algorithm used for this program was the HAAR and Cascade Classifiers.
❏	C# based GUI was written to enable supervised and limited unsupervised training of the Casscade Classifier, using a custom dataset.
❏	To train the Machine Learning Algorithm, a GUI was written to operate in several stages.
	Stage 1: Pass custom training images through default OpenCV training files. (Unsupervised)
	Stage 2: Use the GUI to deselect falsely detected images and select human form which not detected by unsupervised stage. (Supervised)
	Stage 3: Using the newly created set of positive input, and a set of negatives with no human forms, retraining the HAAR Cascade Classifier.
❏	A “noise cancellation” system was also written to run on a video feed with no human forms to cancel out false positives in the scene, prior to turning on the human form detection system.
❏	Performance analysis and tuning of CUDA Kernel code.
❏	Work was done in Microsoft Visual Studio, in C# and C++.
