I have co-founded a queer women and non-binary events organisation and I co-market the events using Instagram and Eventbrite.

Project Goal:
Our goal for marketing is to build a large community in Edinburgh where queer women and non-binary people can come together and enjoy affordable events, build a recognisable brand and hold and successfully advertise a range of events once per month. 

My Contribution to the Project:
I support this goal by creating regular content on Instagram including: information about our events, posts that build up the excitement for our next events, frequently asked questions, videos and pictures from past events and community management. I also created our logo on Adobe Illustrator which aims to be recognisable across Edinburgh and beyond.

A Summary of the Project’s Success:
While this project has just began and we have only held one event so far, we have already built a community of 100+ people which is continuously growing. We sold out on our launch event with over 30 people joining the pub quiz we held. We have also already build relationships with Edinburgh organisations who are excited to collaborate with us on future events.

I created B2B marketing content involving copy-writing, blog posting, social media marketing, SEO, SEM, and both working closely with the design team and creating my own graphics on Canva. 

I managed their social media campaigns on LinkedIn, Twitter, and Xing and found creative ways to improve engagement, website traffic, brand awareness, and event support.

I tracked website traffic and lead-generation using Google Analytics and HubSpot.

I filmed, directed, and presented exciting videos, including Demo Videos, to increase product and brand awareness.

I conducted industry research, competitor monitoring, editing, and proofreading.

Furthermore, I was part of their Diversity and Inclusion Team who aimed to create an environment where everyone feels safe, heard, and valued, and where differences are celebrated.

I created and implemented a strategic social media marketing plan and launched their social media platforms. As well as this, I designed digital marketing graphics, created B2B communication strategies, and carried out research into relevant topics regarding world-wide sustainability news and innovation.

I was also heavily involved in wider company activities including attending networking events, meeting with potential partners, leading meeting discussions, editing and proof-reading documents, and stakeholder market research.

I worked as a fashion model signed with agencies TTM Management, EvD Agency, Model Team and Evolve Model Management.

I travelled around the UK and Europe and worked with teams of creatives, such as entrepreneurs, photographers, and fellow models, and created an extensive portfolio of work. 

It gave me a fantastic insight into the fashion industry and taught me how to manage my time effectively and work as part of a creative team.

In the final year of my degree, I was voted to be the Events and Social Media Manager for the Aberdeen University Kickboxing Club by members of the club. 

I organised events, created graphics to promote them on our social media, and collaborated with different clubs. 

I learned many things about online engagement and how to keep members interested in our events during the Pandemic.

I developed my technological skills by using Microsoft Teams, Photoshop and social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook.
