Occupational Therapist working at the Auckland Spinal Rehabilitation Unit - Outpatient team. Key roles and responsibilities include: wheelchair and seating assessments, hand therapy, hand splinting, community assessments, Spinal outpatient clinic assessments, Rehabilitation and OT specific assessments for environmental or daily living aids. 
Funding applications for both MOH and ACC clients and liaison with case managers. 
Through working knowledge of ACC contracts and MOH funding support in relation to SCI
Regional outreach clinics supported by the ASRU. 
Assisting and Advising on Upper Limb services as provided by ASRU

Complex Equipment Prescription including specialist Wheelchair prescription. Involvement and Development of Quality Assurance projects to improve Occupational Therapy and Spinal Rehabilitation service delivery to EQUiP standard.Facilitation of Occupational Therapy specific Education Sessions for patients and their carers regarding Spinal Cord Injury and ADL performance.Development of equipment guides to improve safety and efficiency including longevity of equipment.
Engagement of external stakeholders as appropriate regarding policy and process development
Supervision of Occupational Therapy students as appropriate
