Recruitment & Hiring: Lead recruitment, interviewing, and hiring processes, collaborating with managers to meet skill and competency needs.

Background Checks & Verifications: Conduct background checks and verify employment eligibility.

Employee Programs & Retention: Implement orientation and recognition programs. Develop engagement and retention strategies to reduce turnover and enhance morale.

HR Administration: Oversee compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, investigations, and training programs.

Employee Support: Address inquiries from applicants, employees, and managers, escalating complex issues as needed.

Disciplinary Actions: Participate in disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

Industry Knowledge: Stay current on HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies.

Leadership Development & Succession Planning: Create leadership programs with the VP of People, mentor managers, and develop talent pipelines for key roles.

HR Technology & Analytics: Lead HR software implementation and leverage analytics for insights on performance, turnover, and workforce health.

Sr. People and Culture Generalist

As a People & Culture Generalist, I ensure compliance with company guidelines and assist in activities including recruitment, employee relations, and regulatory adherence.

Key Responsibilities:

Compliance Management: Track and document compliance with mandatory and optional training, continuing education, safety training, and professional certifications.

Recruitment & Hiring: Recruit, interview, and facilitate hiring of qualified candidates, collaborating with department managers to meet skill and competency requirements.

People and Culture Generalist

Key Responsibilities:

Health & Welfare Plan Administration: Manage enrollments, changes, and terminations for health and welfare plans, ensuring accurate record-keeping.

Employee Support: Provide customer service by addressing employee inquiries and requests.

Background Checks: Submit online investigation requests and assist with new-employee background checks.

Termination Processing: Assist with the processing of employee terminations.

Recruitment Support: Support the recruitment and interview process, track candidate status in HRIS, and follow up at the end of the process.

Scheduling & Documentation: Schedule meetings and interviews as requested, file documents into appropriate employee files, and prepare new employee files.

Administrative Assistance: Assist or prepare correspondence and perform other related duties as assigned.

Human Resources Coordinator

As an Executive Assistant, I supported the Co-Founder and CRO, managing administrative tasks, overseeing communications, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. My role involved acting as a gatekeeper and ensuring efficient operations within the fast-growing sales team and the broader organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Calendar & Email Management: Update and maintain the executive's calendar, contacts, and email.

Communication Oversight: Manage all incoming and outgoing communications, including emails, phone calls, reports, and internal correspondence.

Priority Setting: Establish daily work priorities and direct assignments for the executive and colleagues.

Confidentiality Management: Handle and protect confidential information for the business and leadership.

Meeting Support: Provide documentation for meetings and correspondence, and keep track of minutes, actions, and decisions.

Task Delegation: Delegate and follow up on action items via the task management system.

Special Projects: Execute special projects such as case studies, customer testimonial video shoots, events, tradeshows, and podcasts.

File Organization: Organize, edit, and maintain files in Google Drive and Gmail.

Travel Coordination: Arrange travel, prepare itineraries, plan logistics, and submit expense reports for the executive and, when necessary, the sales team.

- Conducts opening/closing duties which includes locking/unlocking the restaurant, handling of the cash float to and from the safe, and checking that all appliances are off in the kitchen when the restaurant is closed
- Train new front of house employees on the company's core values, customer service philosophies, and understanding the health and safety of themselves and the guests 
- Input server sales into computer
- Develop a floor-plan which allows the servers to know what table and section they are in for their shift
- Develop a pre-shift meeting with servers to go over sale expectations during their shift, inform them about new food and beverages, and inform them about new specials
- Ensure all guests have an outstanding experience by building rapport with customers and make certain their needs, questions, and concerns were addressed
