I used to say "You'll have to get used to me." Now I say, "You need to align with me." I am the mix of being raised by an MVP single mom in a low-income, scrappy little town in Beaver County PA, a couple decades of killer business acumen through a host of badass mentors in B2B and B2C, and a crushing need to fix everyday issues that the general population unconsciously accepts with no consideration for how it could be.

I was that girl slangin' your french toast at Denny's at 3am.

I have worked my way through every version of retail, food service, people and product management you can think of both on the ground and in leadership. I was the manager up and down the aisles at the pharmacy, executing floor sets, flowing trucks, managing teams and schedules, coordinating departments.

 I was the DM running hot market for every special event, training new managers, writing training manuals, and opening new divisions.

I was the National Account Manager finding sales and margin through relational selling and education in the process. I blew through my way to Director of National.

I am still keeping my feet wet in National Facilities with ProxyPics, the company that patently redefined property data collection with real-time visibility. What can I say? Its hard to leave things you love and ProxyPics will continue to bring visibility technology solutions to the Real Estate and Facilities Management community that save time, effort, and expenses.

The common theme? The Bun. It was genesis of all things Rosebloom Headwear, which has become a brand not about me or my hair, but about individuality, inclusiveness, intersectionality, and correcting the inherent racism and misogyny that exist in headwear.

The USDOT has introduced THOR-05F, the *very first* anatomically correct and test accurate female crash test dummy. 

Yup, you heard that right. THE VERY FIRST ONE. In 2025. 

*gestures broadly to what the shit is going on here*

Here’s the recap, and yes, read this with all the shade you please:

Crash Test Lady THOR has 150+ sensors, three times more than the old model, which was *gasp* just a scaled down version of a Man-Dummy. 

Cause women are just smaller versions of men. Totally.

Unlike the old lady-dummies, THOR is built from actual female anatomical data. 

HOLY SHIT. Boobs and accurate organ placement? It's like we're real people! Imagine if they gave her a name that wasn't male!

She's way overdue. She's not perfect. But she is freaking progress. We need more body diversity in Lady Dummies for more safety data but this is a wild step in the right direction.

Did I get a new ball marker (FOR GOLF, weirdos). I did.

SURELY. 

But is it just the tiniest slap in the face of the Crusty Mustache "keep golf traditional" not-so-undertone that continues to keep the game unattainable outside the snooty country club lifestyle?

Mostly its dumb and funny. And I love it.

After a recent conversation about crunchy peanut butter being the superior peanut butter but still having to choose the smooth PB brand I've always chose because of the natural ingredients list, I decided to have a gander at ye old Amazon.

Before I got too far in my research, I found this listing for a SIX pack of Skippy 5 POUND peanut butter jars for $10.44.

That's 30 POUNDS of peanut butter. Now, I know this is a fluke. It has to be. I don't expect six 5 pound jars of peanut butter to show up at my house. 

But I damn well ordered it knowing full well I don't even eat Skippy peanut butter.

So... why?

If 1 jar shows up, I'll hit up the customer service chat, send them the screen shots. They either send me 5 more jars (doubtful) or my guess is they refund me. It costs more to ship it back.

Pretty sure food pantries are running low on food. And I know The Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley, where I volunteer, will take that peanut butter off my hands in an instant. 

Either way.... it's a peanut butter revolution. I'll get back to the crunchy PB search another day.

It's just me, the no-hole NZR, my favorite platform boots (who doesn't have multiple), and my mom trying to pretend like she didn't raise a skyscraper.

I should have counted how many times someone said "I didn't recognize you without your hair in a bun!" that night.

Incredibly proud of my husband Jonathan Benka, the entire coaching staff, and of course all the boys that have been busting their butts all season at Warren JFK. 

Their win last week put them into the second round of the playoffs. Small private schools lack depth on the roster and have to make up for it with flexibility, grit, and plain old hard work.

I run my mouth sitting in the cold but I'm proud of what this group is doing and have made a couple girlfriends with kids on the team who say they love Coach Benka.
