Emily is a subject matter expert on the topics of organization design and strategy; comprehensive human resource management; total rewards; equitable compensation systems; process improvement; customer and employee experience; creating inclusive workplaces; and dabbles as a futurist specific to people, HR, and the workforce. She consults with organizations and individuals across the United States and speaks frequently at state and national conferences. In 2020, Emily cofounded the Experience Management Institute (EXMI). As a certified women-owned, economically disadvantaged, small, and veteran friendly business, the organization has grown to more than 40 staff supporting organizations across 40 states. Emily is the founder and executive director of this all volunteer-run organization that works to end poverty through education and health assistance in Appalachia. Grandma’s Gifts supports Appalachian kids, teachers, schools, families, veterans, shelters, domestic violence safe havens, book mobiles, free dental and health clinics, libraries, and more.
