In 2015, I launched Pivot Journeys to help purpose-driven professionals grow and develop in their careers. My goal is to help people make smarter, more strategic decisions about their next career move. Since 2016, I’ve worked one-on-one with 200+ people using a combination of tools, exercises, and a design-thinking approach to "figuring out your career." I also love working with teams and managers to support them in building strengths-based cultures that increase engagement, retention, and productivity. Did you know that only 34% of US employees are engaged at work, and that the manager determines at least 70% of the variance in employee engagement? I’m passionate about developing great managers that lead to more effective teams and organizations. I came to this work after spending the first part of my career working in electoral politics, serving on electoral and advocacy campaigns, and at the Democratic National Committee. It was as the Executive Director of a career development association for progressive political operatives that I found my passion for coaching and talent development. I also spent a few years working for the Girl Scouts of the USA, supporting the recruitment, onboarding, and training of their National Board of Directors. I am a Gallup-Certified Strengths coach and my work has been featured in The Chicago Tribune, Forbes, Thrive Global, idealist.org, and Career Contessa. In 2020, I was selected as one of the most innovative career coaches by Business Insider.
