Third employee at a global health start-up based in New York CIty. The goal of Gradian Health is to enable emergency and urgent surgery in district hospitals in low income countries. It is centered around a low cost anesthesia machine designed for resource-constrained conditions; specifically, lack of reliable electricity, absence of on-site medical oxygen, and a staggering absence of anesthesiologists. Gradian Health is centered around the development and distribution of the machine and the training of technologists who can deliver anesthesia during a procedure.

– Responsible for coordinating shipping logistics and transport for the Universal Anaesthesia Machine to low-income counties around the world - shipping over 100 units to hospitals all over the world
– Conducted monthly inventory of all assets and produced reports for accountant
– Coordination of detailed travel itineraries for UAM trainers, consultants and employees of Gradian
– Processes all incoming bills and invoices, enters in QuickBooks and sends all wire payments
– Helped to implement and all-electronic accounts payable system using Expensify.com and Bill.com and maintains Gradian's Employee Handbook and Fiscal Policies & Procedures
– Schedules Board meetings, conference calls and all in-office events
– Designs various marketing materials including poster presentations, surveys and data collections booklets 
– Managed blog, website (WordPress) and social media content on a daily basis for Gradian (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest)
– Maintained records in Salesforce
–Served as company "admin" for services such as Slack, Expensify, Dropbox, Uber Business, Skype, Pex Card and more
– Implemented and created content quarterly for our e-newsletter (via MailChimp)
– Managed daily office operations, coordinated with IT and building management, HR and handled all ad-hoc administrative tasks

Emily is obsessed with how the power of one email campaign or even one abandoned cart email can grow your business. Emily worked for over 10 years as a Project Coordinator and Executive Assistant for startups and in finance in NYC before founding her own email agency. She also comes from a creative background in the performing arts (a former singer/dancer), graphic design and blogging/social media.
