FOODOMICS AND FOOD INFORMATICS I hold an MS in Biochemical and Molecular Nutrition from Tufts University and am currently pursuing my PhD in Agricultural and Environmental Chemistry at UC Davis. My dissertation research focuses on designing a food informatics framework enabling faster research and evidence-based claims by linking health and sustainability information to foodomics information, using milk as a case study. My research is funded by IC-FOODS, a nonprofit research institute that is building food informatics infrastructure to democratize food systems. By connecting food information across disciplines and sectors, the field of food informatics will help us answer previously unanswerable food systems questions. SUSTAINABLE FOOD AND BUSINESS Within the broad realm of “sustainability”, I am most interested in: sustainable food systems, the circular bioeconomy, and socially responsible business models. I hold a professional certificate in ESG strategy and am pursuing a graduate certificate in industrial ecology. I have conducted due diligence in the food and climate tech investing space as well as developed a commercialization strategy for a circular, regenerative agricultural practice. I currently work as a researcher at a SaaS startup with the world's largest food product sustainability database (HowGood), where I manage the process of communicating of our research to customer-facing teams and ensure that our sustainability information is accurate and up-to-date. COACHING AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT As a certified coach and career development professional (ACC, GCDF), I empower people to fulfill their personal and professional potential. As co-founder of the personal and professional development community, Golden Acorn, I offer 1:1 coaching sessions and facilitate a FREE job search group. I specialize in working with early and mid-career professionals in STEM and sustainability fields.
