Iβm Emma, a strategic brand creative and activist, with 20+ years of experience working in branding & visual identity. Many moons ago I kicked off my journey at top design agency Newell and Sorrell which later became Interbrand, learning my craft from talented designers on high profile branding. Feeling tired of the big-brand scene, I craved something more meaningful. It hit me that my passion belonged to companies devoted to our planet and people first, and to real, transformative change, not just the profit game. Purpose wasn't an optional extra, or an exercise to me, no more helping corporate giants grow rich, whilst destroying our planet and society. I observed a need with many purpose-driven businesses that, while brimming with the potential to change the world, they often get stuck and suffer from burnout. This was often due to muddled brand strategy, lack-lustre visual identity and poor communications. It was time to shake things up and amplify their voices so that they could be heard above the noise. Fuelled by my activist heart and a desire to make a tangible impact, I made a gut decision to pivot and jumped into the world of purpose-driven businesses. Collaborating with amazing change-makers like Divine Chocolate, Fairtrade London, The Green Party, Caroline Lucas, The Fair Tax Mark, and World Vision. Today, I use my skills, knowledge, and experience to empower those innovative purpose-driven businesses that dare to reimagine the world. I help them get unstuck and build their brand by delving deep and discovering together who they are, uncovering their brand soul, with its unique purpose and difference. Looking at their values, personality, vision, mission, goals and distinct tone of voice. The result? A unique, authentic brand that's more than just skin-deep. A change catalyst embodying a tangible sense of purpose. Resonating with its audience and inviting them to join it's cause. Building a community to tackle the worldβs social and environmental challenges.
