While my education mostly focused on teacher training that should have inevitably led into a teaching career, I have always been passionate about social media and creating content. In March of 2018 I started a personal Instagram to support my election campaign in a bid to become a member of the Students’ Union at the University of Greenwich. From this campaign I gained around 150 followers, most of which were fellow students. The enjoyment of this campaign combined with winning the Social Media Whizz Award further encouraged me to embrace social media. Following this achievement, in late September of 2018 I made it my mission to implement techniques used by influencers, celebrities and businesses to increase my Instagram following and engagement. Over the course of a 3-month period I was able to increase my Instagram following by almost 500%. Graduating with an Upper Second-Class degree I left the world of education for good. In January 2019 I was lucky enough to join an awesome marketing team at Mangahigh who helped begin my marketing journey, whilst shaping what kind of marketer I want to be. Upon leaving Mangahigh, the world went into disarray and I had to return to retail. This felt like a step back in my career but during this time I did online learning whilst having 3 freelance/intern roles to ensure I kept my marketing brain active. I was then fortunate enough, after almost a year and a half away from marketing, to be offered a role at Flamingo Marketing. In July 2023 a left the agency life and found my dream role at Wonderbly, where I work alongside incredible people everyday who challenge me and value me. As Wonderbly’s Junior Social Executive, I am at the helm of all of their organic social efforts. As much as they’ve helped me grow as a person and marketer, I know I’ve made a pretty big impact on them too, winning a Crown Award in just 7 months of starting at the company! In my spare time I create UFC/MMA content on my personal TikTok account where I’m growing an engaged community as well as infuriating Jon Jones’ fans.
