There’s one word my colleagues always use to describe me: energetic. And I think that nicely sums up my approach to social media and PR – always testing, always adapting, always getting ahead of new trends and technologies. I have a track record of joining brands who have a somewhat static approach to socials, and boosting their brand awareness and profits with a lively, proactive and data-informed approach. I live and breathe social media. My phone says I have ‘excessive screen time’, but I prefer to call it ‘always having my finger on the pulse’. This has made me a natural go-to person for colleagues working in PR campaigns, copywriting, influencer management and anything that needs a true social media native on the team. With me, they know they’ll get a panoramic view of the current social media sphere and a ‘let’s get it done’ attitude. So a lot of my experience beyond social media management has simply come from people saying, time and again: ‘we should get Emma’s input on this’. Wonderbly was a dream role, where I worked alongside incredible people who challenged me and valued me. As Wonderbly’s Junior Social Executive, I was at the helm of all of their organic social channels; that included Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest & TikTok. As much as they helped me grow as a person and marketer, I know I made a pretty big impact on them too, winning a Crown Award in just 7 months of starting at the company - that is a HUGE deal! In my spare time I create UFC/MMA content on my personal TikTok account where I’m growing an engaged community as well as infuriating Jon Jones’ fans; plus I'm a cohost on an MMA podcast.
