Working for multinational software companies ( public, pre IPO and start up), targeting enterprise and SMB clients and working with other senior executives, has given me a deep and broad knowledge of how to align marketing to strategic, long term and tactical business goals. I have achieved personal and business success by combining best practice marketing processes, partnerships, complimentary talent, and technology with tight budgetary spend and shrewd investments to achieve returns of an average of 6-8 x initial investments. My experience spans the marketing mix but delivering meaningful, relevant content through the most appropriate direct and indirect channels to build brand awareness and foster on going conversations with your target audience, I believe is key to building engagement, solid business opportunities and strong pipelines. What are my specialties? My ability to drive collaborative, operational reform and alignment to business goals in both long and short term roles. I can also adapt and add value at multiple levels; operationally I can dig into demand generation programmes, messaging, content and multi channel campaigns and pivot to analysing data, strategic planning and participation in executive meetings. I am process driven but also a creative thinker who is not afraid to push boundaries and think differently. I should also include my passion for people development which has underpinned my teams' performances particularly in the last 14 years. I now regularly mentor and coach three former team members, one just having gained a promotion. What really floats my boat? Seeing positive results and real business impact from changes that I have implemented. And, when I know my stuff, I get a real kick out of evangelising and educating people so they start to love my subject as much as I do. Professional dislikes? Management by committee.
