In my role as a business consultant, I supported the team in refining and formalizing their strategy and approach for the final development and launch of a physical device. As a side project, I also explored and documented a specific use case for our initiatives. The key deliverables I produced included:

(1) A detailed deck outlining the business initiative’s strategy, model, and milestones, crafted for use in fundraising and partnership efforts.
(2) An extensive milestone overview highlighting crucial objectives, business and technical deliverables, and funding needs at each stage for operational use.
(3) A review of financial models and forecasts, adjusted to align with the revised milestones and strategy.
(4) A comprehensive report evaluating a potential opportunity, examining possible implementations.

Rhodes Food Group

Data transformation, analysis and visualisation to address key business questions & streamline operational processes. Projects included:
 - Scoping, designing and managing the implementation of a Microsoft Dynamics 365 data solution to manage export activities
 - Input into product strategy plans based on data gathered from Dunnhumby & internal scan data
 - Building reports & answering ad-hoc business questions using Cognos

Business Intelligence Consultant

Root

I work closely with Root's clients to design, build and implement their insurance products. This requires the ability to pre-emptively identify and create innovative solutions to address business requirements. Additional competencies include project managing client onboardings and product launches.

In addition to the technical implementations, I play a role in ensuring strategic alignment between company mission and products being built and building partnerships to maintain the client relationship going forward.

Solutions Engineer

Capitec Bank

Internal consultant on multiple projects  focussing on funeral insurance and client classification and conversion. The role included interpreting and reporting on general banking performance to exec.

Key deliverables: 
- Developed a dashboard to drive strategic direction in client acquisition endeavours
- Provided insight into the impact of Covid-19 and the ensuing lockdown on banking behaviour to exco
- Assisted in building and launching an online debit order submission portal
- Responsible for the month report on operational banking activity

Job Rotation: Banking Specialist

Support the executive team in identifying, quantifying and initiating new business opportunities. Projects include a new credit product, a non-banking product via a partnership and client benefits.

Key competencies:
 - Identify and evaluate business opportunities through market research (quantitative & qualitative)
 - Quantify business opportunities through business modelling and quantitative and data analysis
 - Present & garner support for initiatives from c-suite executives
 - Project implementation through project management and end-to-end project involvement including giving input into technical, legal, marketing, change control and training elements

Business Solutions Analyst

Combining data analysis with operational insights to drive and support key business decisions. Focus on operations (staffing, service efficiency, branch footprint, sale KPIs)

Key competencies:
 - Acting as an internal consultant to provide exco with insights and recommendations on key business questions through analysis
 - Generating, implementing and maintaining reports and models(SQL, Excel, QlikView)

Focus areas:
 - Branch footprint insights, including recommendations on opening, closing, moving and amending trading hours
 - Forecasting & scheduling of branch staff 
 - Queuing and service efficiency (time to service, time of service, quality of service)
 - Operational KPIs, with a focus on sales and product performance
