Facilitated English learning through immersive means to Spanish students.

Liaised with parents utilising my language capabilities in order to direct them to the camp and answer any questions they may have had.

Worked with experienced teachers with lesson preparation and delivery.

Led team work exercises for the students.

Dunnes Stores

Received recognition for my role in the store to be further trusted on the customer service desk where refunds were performed, exchanges and delt with customer queries among other things.  

Successfully managed the backs of checkouts throughout the pandemic ensuring that customers were keeping a safe distance and ques moved smoothly. 

Well rehearsed with the closing up procedure of each night, from bagging up the checkouts to making the store announcements. 

Supervised the checkouts and allocate tasks to other members of staff where appropriate. 

Aware of all the issues that arise with checkouts and regularly train new staff. Used previous skills from working in the pub to engage with customers and effectively improve their overall experience within the store.  

Rehearsed in carrying out till spot checks and furthermore communicate with management and security where necessary.

Trained in EPOS, which involves ensuring offsale item prices are correct and onsale item prices too.

Engaged in communication meetings with management as a representative for checkout areas. Consulting the management as to how this area can be improved.

Checkout supervisor

John F. Martin & Company Solicitors

Supported the solicitor through clerical duties such as photocopying, phone calls, post and general office administration.

Maintained a high level of professionalism and business judgement with minimal supervision required.

Assisted the solicitor on a ad hoc basis through the running of their caseload in terms of District and Circuit Court files.

Managed the  solicitors diary in terms upcoming Trials/Motions dates.

Managed and distributed both incoming and outgoing mail to relevant parties.

Legal Intern

NUI Galway Conference & Event Centre | Campus Living

In this role majority of the time was spent in the reception area of the new student complex known as Goldcrest. 

Delt with overnight guest requests, lost or non working key cards issuing the students and customers with new ones and furthermore assisted the students where issues arose regarding their house and overall health and wellbeing. 

Throughout the year regularly participated in the advertising campaign for the student residences and the marketing manager at the time made a noteworthy remark in how I went about doing it. 

I was further requested to keep helping advertise due to my great interpersonal skills and persuasiveness.

Resident Assistant

Spent a month in Spain working for Interway an organisation which aims to improve Spanish students level of English. 

This experience furthered my skillset especially ability to communicate and work well with others.
