Hit quota for the month yesterday. How, you may ask. Well, there are two main contributing factors, but I will talk about one today:

Cold calling using Koncert. 

Cold calling is what it is, but I can tell you these guys are SO helpful. Jagadeesh Thirunavukarasu being at the top for being on top of every question, concern or suggestion I've had through the buying process & patience while I test, test, and test some more. Jennifer Nickles has been very help post sale as well, including confirming that a feature I have requested will be coming out soon.

I don't use a permission based opener anymore (I did, it started getting hung up on, so I pivoted) and I just have a normal conversation.

It goes something like this:
Hi (First name), Erica from Pin here, how are you? (They usually reply with good, what is Pin) We do XYZ, is that something that's on your radar right now?" Yes, boom.

No need to over think it.

Sweet, simple, to the point. What's working for your BD efforts?

Doing business development remotely is wonderful... Until.

The dogs start barking as you finally get a potential customer on a cold call.

My pest control guy shows up right as I am getting on a meeting (what good does having a 3 hour window that they'll show really do?!)

The Amazon delivery guy is a little too loud on the porch... again, dogs.

My husband doesn't realize I'm on a meeting and decides he has to get something from my office NOW. (even better when he's fresh out of the shower because... of course. This only happened once)

The neighbor's yard guy shows up and he's a too overzealous with the leaf blower.

Unlimited snacks when you're on a diet (Also, pro, unlimited snacks)

And last but not least... Ambulances. Dogs symphony again FTW.

Still, I wouldn't have it any other way. Home/life balance, lack of a commute, and the AC is set at my temperature (for the most part... spouses 👀 )

🙃 I'm tired.

Hey, here's a post about the tech stack that helps me reach 200-300% quota attainment.

lemlist - Like Apollo but on steroids. I have found their data to be WAY better than any of their competitors. Plus, they have some seriously creative ways to reach out in their platform.

Clay - Everything feeds into Clay (see Trigify below for example), and I use Clay to check ICP, find contact data if they haven't already been found by Lemlist, and much much more. Very powerful tool.

Trigify.io - I shouldn't be giving away my secret sauce, but here I am. Trigify tracks socials for engagement & I then feed that into Clay. So, to be blunt, I reach out to all of my competitors post engagers. And. It. Works.

Koncert - For cold calling lists once they've been through a multichannel campaign in Lemlist. If they didn't answer or didn't open anything, they get a call or two. Plus, Koncert has a hot list where I can call people known to answer their phones - very cool. Also, I found that more people just answered with I called using Koncert vs some of their competitors.

What other tools would you recommend?

BTW, none of these tools paid me to write about them. I just like using them & they make me a lot of money by existing.

BD work isn't all glam (ha) but you guys asked to hear why I get 200-300% quota attainment.

Before my recent promotion, I was strictly outbound, but now I have been given some inbound leads to work with (Yay! Maybe I'll hit 400% quota attainment!)

Today, I am sitting here going through a list of New Users from our website, checking to see if they've booked a meeting with us since becoming a new user, and calling those that haven't.

It's time consuming & tedious. But fruitful. I typically book about 5 meetings for every list of 100 or so I call, and the others don't book only because they don't answer. It's an easy conversation to have, honestly.

Someone was telling me once to prioritize tasks based on how much pull something takes, to how much reward you get from doing the task. 

(Do you know what theory that may be called? Comment below... It's eluding me.)

Basically, you prioritize tasks like this:
1. Low Pull, High Reward (duh)
2. High Pull, High Reward
3. Low Pull, Low Reward
4. High Pull, Low Reward

So, as you can tell, I have already finished my Low Pull, High Reward tasks this week & it's on to the High Pull, High Reward tasks.

I am sharing this in case you're looking at a huge to-do list & needing to figure out a way forward - this is your sign. Rank em, and start at 1. Break them down into manageable bites if needed. 

There's a saying for this: How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.
