As a manager of interpreter services at Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) with over 20 years of experience in leadership roles, I lead and oversee the daily operations and staff of the department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and timely interpretation services for patients and providers. I hold a National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters (NBCMI) credential, which demonstrates my proficiency, as well as a Masters degree in Strategic Leadership, Data Analytics, and Human Resources, which demonstrates my passion for analytical thinking, finding innovative solutions to improve the quality of care, patient experience, and employee satisfaction and engagement in healthcare organizations. Besides managing the interpreter services department, I also teach Spanish as an adjunct professor at Cedar Crest College and Penn State University, where I share my passion and knowledge for the language and culture with students of diverse backgrounds and levels. I have strong skills in communication, interpersonal communication, and organization, which enable me to coordinate, collaborate, and support various teams and stakeholders across the network, as well as to develop and implement strategies and initiatives to improve the quality and accessibility of language services. As Co-President of the Todos Unidos C.A.R.E.S. group at LVHN, my objective is to build a culture of inclusiveness, diversity, and equity.
