Apart from that, you will be able to share your own knowledge and experiences with other scholarship holders and alumni. This means that, on the Online Academy’s digital platform, you can attend and give courses covering a variety of disciplines and themes.

Talent im Land

The scholarship program "Talent im Land" supports talented students from Baden-Württemberg who face hurdles due to their social background on their path to obtaining their high school diploma or vocational qualification. Financial support, a accompanying seminar program, and individual counseling assist these young individuals in developing their talents and taking control of their future.

To advocate for equal educational opportunities for gifted students, "Talent im Land" was initiated in 2003 by the Robert Bosch Foundation and the Baden-Württemberg Foundation. Both foundations support the scholarship recipients jointly until 2022. Since 2019, the Baden-Württemberg Foundation and the Josef Wund Foundation have taken over the program, which is represented by the personal development of over 750 alumni as a testament to its success.

This one’s personal. But it’s not just about me.
It’s a love letter to all women who have ever been told they‘re not enough.

Maybe you had a dream once.
And someone said,
“You can’t.”
Or: “That’s not for you.”
Or worse: “Who do you think you are?”

I’ve heard all of them. And I got tired. Tired of seeing women (ambitious, smart, full of potential) shrink. Shrink from visibility, from risk, from their own dreams.

That’s why I’m writing this love letter. From me to you.
To the dream you’re tucking away.

When I was little, I wanted to learn the clarinet.
But a teacher told me: “You don’t have the right lips.”
So I never tried.

Later, at university, someone said I’d never learn German well enough to study sociology here. Then, a career advisor told me to forget becoming a coach or trainer.

“You won’t make it,” they said. “Not with your background.”
Those weren’t facts. They were limits. Handed to me as if they were real.
And I took them. For a while.

Until I started to see the pattern.
Because that’s how it happens for so many women.
Someone says, “You don’t have what it takes.”
And we nod.
We bury the dream: the book we once wanted to write, the instrument, the business, the career shift.

We settle for smaller versions of what we wanted.
Not because we don’t believe in growth.
But because we’ve learned to protect ourselves from disappointment.

But why let we others draw our limits?
Most of what stood in my way were thoughts, not facts.
Most of the “impossibles” others predicted became my done.
And the voice that said, “You can’t,” was often just afraid itself.

Yes, I still wish I’d played the clarinet.
And that's why I want you to know:
Other people’s opinions are not your limits.
They are signposts.
Use them.

Let them show you where you’ve been boxed in.
And then: walk out of the box.

Who’s in your head when you lose focus?
Focus isn’t just about time. It’s about what (and who) we let into our heads.

We talk a lot about mental clutter.
But the biggest clutter doesn’t always come from our own thoughts.
It comes from carrying other people’s emotions, expectations, and chaos.

Their urgency.
Their panic.
Their problems that quietly turn into our responsibility.

And suddenly, our focus is gone, even though the problem was never ours to begin with.

I used to call that empathy.
Now I know better.
Empathy without boundaries isn’t kindness.
It’s exhaustion wearing good intentions.

There’s even a name for it: empathic distress. The point where caring turns into carrying.
The alternative is regulated compassion. Caring with boundaries, so we can stay kind without losing clarity.

It’s the difference between holding space and holding weight.
Between being present for someone and being pulled into their storm.

And when we learn that difference, something changes.
We can care deeply without taking on the weight.
We can support others without hosting their chaos.

If we want mental clarity,
we have to stop picking up what was never ours to hold.

When a project starts stalling, I don’t push harder.
I pause smarter.

Old me would have added more pressure.
Worked later. Tried harder.
Because that’s what “driven” people do, right?

But now I know better: when momentum drops, force doesn’t fix it.
Awareness does.

So instead of pushing through, I stop for a moment and look at what’s really slowing me down.
And almost always, it’s one of these three things:

1.     Chasing perfection – progress beats polish.
2.    Waiting for motivation – I schedule it instead.
3.    Saying yes to everything – that one’s a killer.

Each pause helps me reset my energy, my focus, and my boundaries.
Because sometimes, the smartest way forward is to stop for a second and look up.

What’s one thing you stop doing when you feel stuck?

Why chasing perfection might be the worst decision of your career.

It sounds like high standards. But in reality, perfectionism slows you down, keeps you small, and stops great work from ever being seen.

In my coaching sessions, I see it all the time:
the quiet perfectionism that keeps brilliant women from moving forward.
They come in with great ideas and energy.
But the project (the presentation, the manuscript, the application) stays in limbo.

Not because they aren’t ready.
But because they believe it needs to be perfect.
What looks like conscientiousness is often fear of falling short.
And so the work stays hidden. Almost ready, but not quite.

What gets lost in the process is their momentum. Their spark.
Their ability to make things happen in the real world and not just in their heads.

What many of us fail to see: Perfection isn’t a strength.
It just knows how to dress like one. 
It pretends to be ambition, while it’s really a clever form of self-protection.
It looks like striving, but it feeds on delay.
And it often leads to one thing: lethargy.

That’s why I work with women to replace „perfect“ with „damn good“.

Damn good isn’t a compromise. It’s a practice.
It means relevant, focused, intentional.
It means delivering something that’s strong enough to hold, and open enough to evolve.
It means creating from clarity and not from fear.

The women who live this don’t aim to impress. They aim to contribute.
They make decisions before things are fully clear.
They launch, test, adapt.
They grow through doing, not polishing.

In Mission Impossible and my coaching sessions, I often share these guiding principles:

1. Define what damn good looks like for you. Make it tangible. What would it look like if it were real, honest, and ready enough to be shared?
2. Set boundaries around your time. Decide when something needs to be finished. Let that timeframe guide your focus, not perfection.
3. Practice learning, not proving. Build something that improves with every round.
4. Stay connected to your priorities. Detail work can’t replace real impact. Come back to the core. What’s the impact you’re here to make?
5. Let your work breathe. It can be strong and imperfect at the same time. It can grow once it’s out there. But it has to begin.

Perfection will keep you polishing in private.
Damn good will get you moving.

It’s the difference between waiting for the ideal moment
and creating momentum by choosing to begin.

You don’t need another week.
You don’t need to be perfect.
You just need to start showing up, damn good and getting better.

We all know how to keep promises to others. But keeping them to ourselves?
That’s where most goals quietly fall apart.

In business, reliability builds trust. We show up. We deliver. We keep our word. That’s how teams grow, clients return, and opportunities open.

But when it comes to our own goals, that same reliability often disappears.
We promise ourselves things like:
“I’ll start tomorrow.” Or: “I’ll work on it this weekend.” And then… we don’t.

The result isn’t just unfinished projects.
It’s a slow erosion of self-trust.

I had to learn this the hard way:
I had so many ideas, many private projects running at the same time, and I wasn't making any progress. It was more than just frustrating. I felt like I was letting myself down. And I noticed: I didn’t start new plans with excitement anymore, but with that poisonous sting of not fully believing myself.

At some point, I devised a system for myself to not only start projects, but also to complete them. My most important insight: All the good strategies and tools don't help if I don't cultivate commitment to myself in the first step.

Later, I turned these and other building blocks for success into a program that others can benefit from. And here, too, it is confirmed again and again:
True confidence doesn’t come from pep talks or positive thinking.
It comes from keeping promises to yourself, even the small ones.

The first days in my Mission Impossible program often look the same: women with big goals, big plans, and calendars that already feel full before Monday even begins. They start with excitement. And with a quiet fear that they won’t be able to keep up.

Then the first milestones come, and some of them start falling behind, because life gets loud, and their own goals are the first to be postponed.

But then, on the day they decide to treat their goal like a promise, it shifts.
They don't suddenly have more time, but they are finally serious about it.
They stop planning around it and start moving toward it.
They take the next step, and then the next one.

With every small action, something deeper happens: They start to trust themselves again, because they’re finally showing up for what they said they would do.

That’s how self-trust is built: step by step, promise by promise.

These are three of my favourite tips for building self-trust that have proven particularly effective for me:

1. Sign mini-contracts with yourself. Your brain loves clarity. Write it down like a real deal: “If it’s 3 p.m., I’ll work on my project for ten minutes.”
2. Keep it small at the beginning. Tiny promises are easier to honour, and every promise kept strengthens self-trust.
3. Small proofs, repeated often, become inner reliability.

When your work is also your calling, it’s both a gift and a trap.

I love what I do. It fulfils me. It helps others.
And because of that, I could do it all day, every day.

Which sounds beautiful.
Until it doesn’t.

I started noticing the signs that passion was turning into pressure.
Working late into the night.
Skipping meals.
A brain that never shut off, always buzzing with ideas that had to be implemented immediately.
And the constant feeling that I couldn’t let my clients down.

Many of them asked if I could offer more sessions, more small impulses, more ways to stay on track between coachings.
And while that made me deeply happy,
it also made me realise something:

I can’t be everywhere at once.
At least, not entirely.
But maybe — just a little bit — I can.

For the first 24 days of December, I’ve created something that lets me stay close to my clients without burning out.

It’s called the Happy Brain Advent Calendar:
one daily email with a voice note from me to help to refocus, finish the year proud, and start the new one with fresh energy.

For me, this project is the sweet spot between being there for others
and not losing myself along the way.

And maybe that’s what balance really is:
not doing less of what we love,
but finding smarter ways to keep our energy in it.

How do you protect your energy when you love what you do?

Sometimes, one sentence can start a chain reaction.

Last week, over coffee, a friend told me she’d stopped working out.
“Every night I just collapse on the sofa,” she said.

I was surprised and replied, “Really? That doesn’t sound like you.
You’re such a sporty person.”
We both laughed and moved on to other things.

I didn’t think about it again. Until yesterday, when she sent me a photo of herself on her home trainer.
The message said:
“Back on track. Thanks for reminding me I’m a sportsperson. One week back at it, and I feel incredible. So many new ideas flowing again.”

That message touched me.
Because two things became clear at once.

First, a tiny shift can set big things in motion.
She didn’t just regain energy; she regained creativity.
Her action inspired me to write this post, and maybe, in some way, it’ll inspire someone else.
That’s the domino effect of doing something good:
one small move creates quiet ripples you might never see.

Second, we often underestimate the power of what we say.
I didn’t tell her to go back to the gym.
I simply reflected a version of her she had forgotten for a while.
And that mirror helped her step back into it.
The same can happen the other way around.
A careless comment — “You’re not really the type to…” — can shrink someone without us even noticing.

Our words define. They shape identity.
They can hold someone back or help them rise.

That’s why awareness matters.
Especially when someone is vulnerable or full of enthusiasm.
Because when we see their spark and reflect it back
— instead of dimming it — good things multiply.

Whose spark could you reflect back to them today?
And if it’s your own spark that needs re-igniting: where do you want to get back on track?

Everyone talks about motivation.
But no one talks about what happens when it runs out.

A few weeks ago, one of my clients hit that wall.
The one where motivation disappears, and everything suddenly feels heavier.

She came to our session frustrated.
“I started strong,” she said, “but now I’m exhausted. I can’t keep the momentum.”

We all know that point.
It’s the moment when the brain confuses fatigue with failure.
When you start to think you’ve lost discipline, but what you’ve really lost is structure.

So we didn’t talk about motivation.
We talked about systems.
Because motivation is emotional. Systems are reliable.

Within a week, she was back in flow: clearer, faster, calmer.
She didn’t suddenly feel inspired again. But she started working with a rhythm that supported her instead of draining her.

And that rhythm isn’t coincidence.
It’s part of a framework I teach called the HAPPY-X Strategy:
the backbone of my 12-week program Mission Impossible.

It works because it’s built on how the brain actually sustains progress:

H – High-Energy Execution
We start with quick wins. Completing small, meaningful actions releases dopamine and clears mental clutter.

A – Aligned Deep Work
Two focused hours on high-impact work outperform a day of distractions. It’s not more effort, it’s better alignment.

P – Purposeful Strategy
Clear direction reduces decision fatigue. We plan deliberately, not reactively.

P – Power Reflection
The brain learns through feedback. Daily reflection rewires progress into confidence.

Y – „You-First“-Mindset
No sustainable success without self-priority. Energy is a resource, not a reward.

X – The X-Factor: Accountability & Momentum
We don’t grow alone. Community keeps energy high and goals visible. Weekly check-ins and community support are the secret weapons for staying on track, even when things get tough.

That’s the real reason Mission Impossible works, and why anyone can apply the same principles.

Success doesn’t come from pushing harder.
It comes from designing a system that keeps you moving. Even when you don’t feel like it.


What’s one habit or system that helps you keep going when motivation fades?

Everyone loves to celebrate the hero story.
But sometimes, the real lesson comes from the monster.

Everyone always talks about Hercules: the hero, the muscles, the victory.
But honestly? I’ve always found the Hydra way more fascinating.

Every time someone chopped off one of its heads:
Boom! Two new ones grew back.
Talk about resilience with attitude.

In the myth, Hydra was called a monster.
But for me, she‘s the best symbol of unstoppable regeneration.
That’s the kind of energy I see in the women I work with, especially inside Mission Impossible.

This week in my three-month program, we hit the halfway mark.
Everyone’s been working for six weeks toward one big, bold goal.
And now, we’ve reached that point where motivation starts to dip, energy fades, and the mind whispers: “Maybe I can’t.”

That’s when I reminded everyone:
you’re not Hercules in this story.
You’re Hydra.

Every setback? That’s a new head growing.
Every failed attempt? That’s capacity doubling.
You’re literally built to regenerate.
(Like Hydra.)

If you’re not in Mission Impossible, keep this in mind for your own goals:
The dip doesn’t mean you’re losing.
It means you’re growing new heads.

And for my Mission Impossible crew:
You are Hydra.
You’re allowed to be tired.
Just don’t forget: you’re regenerating.
