Having been commended for his contributions to his squadron and station during a posting after RAF pilot qualification, Erik re-entered education, leading all group projects tasked of him. He lead fellow students to achieve beyond what they would have achieved otherwise, as quoted by themselves. Erik has a keen interest in the future of technology and demonstrated this with his commended experimental work at university, carrying out a MSc project in place of his BEng project (infantry combat estimate automation) and has been undertaking a PhD in advanced target tracking techniques since and developing his knowledge using a varied number of computer languages. Erik is determined to achieve as much as he can in his lifetime, with automation being the direction of travel. Finely interwoven into his many life successes, he has shown that during adversity, his determination to succeed is second to none.
