Pure Earth

The Country Director is expected to develop networks, build partnerships, and grow and diversify funding. Directly responsible for the overall coordination and strategic direction of the country
program; supervising and coaching country program staff; leading teams to identify, design and deliver high-quality, impactful programs; ensuring efficient stewardship of resources for results, compliance, and focused, timely reporting; and oversight of financial management and compliance practices.
The Country Director supervises the work of all country program staff, consultants and contractors and is the primary point of contact in-country for Pure Earth colleagues in HQ and in other country

Country Director

Youth Challenge International

•	Establish a thriving team culture by leading, managing, and further strengthening the capacity of the YCI Ghana team and Canadian and national volunteers to deliver high quality project impact.
•	Provide strategic support to ensure that activities are meeting goals and targets, recommending evidence-based adjustments as necessary to keep the project on track.
•	Drive the oversight and implementation of country level HR policies and procedures, including the support of recruitment, onboarding, and performance management systems.
•	Support the implementation of all country level communication strategies
•	Work in collaboration with Headquarters and country office staff to develop a robust volunteer management systems, processes, and documents for the entire volunteer mobilization cycle.
•	Ensure and manage appropriate conditions for the effective onboarding, performance, and project delivery of Canadian volunteers in Ghana.
•	Provide guidance, support and leadership to Canadian volunteers as needed.
•	Liaise and coordinate with local partners, proactively engaging with sub-contractors to ensure the effective delivery of project activities.
•	Engage private sector and relevant actors in forming a multi-stakeholder network to support youth and women’s empowerment and entrepreneurship objectives.
•	Support the implementation of the HerStart Catalyst Fund for aspiring female social entrepreneurs.
•	Ensure strong communication and relationships are established and maintained with YCI headquarters in Toronto.
•	Monitor and manage annual and multi-year program budgets, ensuring compliance with organizational and donor regulations and requirements.
•	Ensure preparation and submission of financial and project activity reports according to the project reporting processes and standards.
•	Support the Operations and Finance Manager and other technical team leaders to ensure program activities are implemented in accordance with the project budget and work plan.

Country Representative/Project Lead

•	Provided coordination and support to organizational systems and processes for YCI Ghana, including the oversight of policies, procedures and procurement of goods and services. 
•	Supported the Country Project Lead with all YCI Ghana Human Resources functions, including Ghana country office contracts, performance review, onboarding, and recruitment of local staff.
•	Coordinated all administrative and logistical components of YCI office acquisition and volunteer accommodation.
•	 Oversaw and maintained necessary reporting for local company registration requirements and ensure YCI remains compliant with evolving regulations.
•	Drove country risk management portfolio to ensure the safety and security of staff, volunteers, partners, and stakeholders.
•	Performed other duties as requested by the Country Lead. 
•	Coordinated with Headquarters to ensure appropriate financial and administrative management and compliance with donor regulations.
•	Prepared and submitted high quality financial reports, manage and monitor cash flows related to project expenses.
•	Led annual budgeting exercise.
•	Collaborated with the Country Project Lead and other technical team leaders to ensure program activities are implemented in accordance with the project budget and work plan.
•	Identified areas of risk and took steps to reduce vulnerabilities.
•	Respected and acted in accordance with accounting policies, procedure¬¬s, and internal controls, ensuring compliance with donor and regulatory requirements.
•	Provided technical onboarding, training, direction and support to project staff, volunteers, partners, and external stakeholders as needed on finance, operations and human resources matters.
•	Facilitated greater financial literacy through formal and informal interactions with staff and partners.

Operations & Finance Manager

•	Supported the Project Startup Consultant in work plan development and startup mobilization.
•	Provide coordination and support to the startup activities in the project location.
•	Supported the Project Startup Consultant in achieving HR objectives as it relates to the Ghana country office recruitment efforts.
•	Engage in strategic calls and meetings to set initial strategy with assigned partners.
•	Provided strategic operational guidance to ensure all project startup deliverable remain on course.
•	Aligned partner expectations around scope of project deliverable and sustainability.
•	Undertook health, safety and security assessment of the startup location.
•	Cultivated and sustained relationships with prospective partners on the new project.
•	Collected qualitative and quantitative information required to complete the Year 5 and Life of Project EQWIP HUBs report.
•	Collated and analyzed data, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the underlying data, and prepare summaries of results, conclusions and recommendations
•	Cataloged all data sets, reports, manuals and knowledge resources produced through the EQWIP HUBs project on SharePoint for future access
•	Perform other duties as required

Project Coordinator Consultant 

EQWIP HUBs: Powered by Canada World Youth and Youth Challenge International 

•	Providing leadership and management for the coordination and delivery of HUB activities and implementation of projects.
•	Support the conduct of baseline and Focus group discussions surveys on youth empowerment, employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for youth.
•	Working closely with partners and actors within the ecosystem to implement youth livelihood activities to support entrepreneurs and start-ups.
•	Coordinating and establishing innovation funds to support start-up entrepreneurs and initiating sustainability services.
•	Liaising and coordinating with consortium partners and implementing partners to ensure effective delivery of youth livelihood programming activities. 
•	Provide technical support, coaching and mentoring for entrepreneurship participants.
•	Ensuring that the youth livelihood program is implemented in ways responsive to communities, partners and the donor’s requirement. 
•	Overseeing the financial and cash management of HUB activities including budgeting and forecasting of funds for operational activities. 
•	Implementing and overseeing a portfolio of youth program activities and ensure that services are delivered on time in compliance with donor regulations 
•	Leading monthly quarterly, midterm and annual reporting process based on Gantt chart and Performance Measurement Framework. 
•	Ensuring appropriate, timely and accurate data collection against set indicators to enable both internal and external reporting. 
•	Ensuring program quality through implementation of country-specific project review systems and comprehensive M&E systems.
•	Supporting the development and update of sector strategies in relevant areas of programming.
•	Management of and support to staff and teams of Canadian volunteers 
•	Providing support to ensure that activities are meeting their goals and targets, recommend program adjustments when necessary to keep the project on track 
•	Supporting capacity and supervision of HUB staff and volunteer teams.

Hub Manager/Coordinator

EQWIP HUBs: Powered by Canada World Youth and Youth Challenge International

•	Coordinated and led business and employability skills training activities for youth livelihood programme.
•	Coordinated entrepreneurship business incubation for the successful innovation fund recipients, coaching and mentoring youth innovation fund recipients through sustainability services. 
•	Engaged and managed teams of Canadian volunteers to support the program.
•	Engaged private sector actors within the ecosystem to support the youth.
•	Liaised and coordinated with consortium partners and implementing partners to ensure effective delivery of employment and entrepreneurship training activities.
