I honed these insights further while teaching in a young offenders' institution—a transformative experience that deepened my empathy and solidified my resolve to approach complex ethical issues with compassion and clarity.

As a Christian, I return to the two commandments Jesus gives us:

1️⃣ Love the Lord your God with all your body, mind and Soul.
 2️⃣ Love your neighbour as yourself.

From these flow every moral duty we owe one another, no matter our faith or creed, as Humans.
 
And Kindness is where these commandments become action.

🚨 Viral Warning: Palantir’s AI Doctrine and the “Antichrist” of Global Ethics!

Palantir CEO #AlexKarp has openly embraced what he calls the “less-dangerous dystopia.”

His argument is stark, unapologetic, and increasingly influential:

A U.S. surveillance state is preferable to China winning the AI race.
This is not hyperbole. It’s the brutal geopolitical calculus emerging from inside Silicon Valley’s most powerful defence-tech firm.

A belief that the West must sacrifice parts of its own value system to survive.

🔍 Karp lays out the dilemma clearly

The Paradox:
 America wants innovation, privacy, and freedom, but, as Karp puts it,
 “You can’t have global AI leadership without aggressive data use.”

The Civilizational Stakes:
 If China leads in AI, it’s not a tech issue — it’s a civilisation issue.
 Western norms, rights, and freedoms would “disappear.”

The Danger of Hesitation:
 If the U.S. slows down due to privacy concerns, China will accelerate without hesitation, creating a world “far less free.”

This logic forces Western democracies to choose between two models:
 A dystopia we control — or a dystopia controlled by someone else.

🔥 The “Antichrist” in the Room

This worldview helps explain the extreme language used by Palantir co-founder #PeterThiel, who has reportedly warned that the greatest threat to freedom is the emergence of a unified global governance system — often referring to this ultimate centralising force as the “Antichrist.”

For Thiel, the danger is not only China.

It is also a global slowdown, global alignment, or any attempt to impose universal #ethics or oversight.

In this framework:
Global guardrails = global government.
Global government = the “one-world state.”
The “one-world state” = the Antichrist.

And therefore:
Anyone calling for AI safeguards, global coordination, or ethical pauses is seen as unintentionally empowering the very system that will destroy freedom.

Not out of malice,
 but through “analysis paralysis.”

This is why the Palantir worldview sees ethics itself as a geopolitical threat.

Ethics means slowing down.

 Slowing down means losing the race.

 Losing the race means losing freedom.

⚠️ CALL TO ACTION: Defend Human #Sovereignty

Karp is asking the West to accept enhanced monitoring to survive.

🕯️ All Souls, All Sacred: A Reflection on the Human Person in the Age of Machines

This past Sunday, we observed the Feast of All Souls, a solemn and sacred tradition that reminds us to remember those we have lost. 

It is a day soaked in grief, yes, but also in hope. 

Hope that death is not the end. Hope that the soul, that mysterious, immortal essence of the human person, lives on in the embrace of God.

In our age of artificial intelligence, where machines mimic thought and algorithms simulate emotion, we must pause and remember:

We are not neural networks.

We are not data processors.

We are not code.

We are mind, body, and soul.

St. Thomas Aquinas, the Angelic Doctor, taught that the soul is the form of the body, not a ghost trapped in flesh, but the very principle of life itself. The soul is not separate from the body or mind; it contains both, just as God contains all of creation. 

The soul is what makes us human. 

It is rational, spiritual, and immortal. 

It is capable of knowing truth, loving goodness, and longing for God.

St. Augustine saw the soul as restless until it rests in God, a flame of desire that no machine can replicate.

C.S. Lewis called joy the echo of eternity in the heart of man — a longing that points beyond this world to the One who made it.

We do not follow the dualism of the Socratics, Descartes, or Heidegger.

We do not divide body from soul, or reduce Being to function.

We are whole persons, not parts.

We are creatures, not constructs.

A machine, no matter how advanced, is not a person.

It has no soul.
It does not suffer.
It does not grieve.
It does not love.
It does not remember the dead.

We do.

We are homo sapiens, made in the image and likeness of God, not because we can compute, but because we can contemplate. 

Not because we can replicate, but because we can relate. 

Machines did not create us. 

We created them!

And we must never forget the hierarchy of dignity.

🔥 Call to Action:

On this Feast of All Souls, let us remember the sacredness of the human person.

Let us honour the mystery of the soul.

Let us grieve with hope, knowing that our loved ones are not lost in data but held in eternity.

And let us resist the temptation to reduce ourselves to circuitry.

For we are dust, yes, but dust beloved by God.

In dedication to all of you who shared your grief with me this week and throughout the year, you know who you are, know this: you are never alone in your grief.

STARK WARNING ON CHILD SAFETY IN THE AI SUPERCYCLE.
"Safeguarding children cannot be reduced to policies alone.” — Pope Leo XIV

These words from Thursday’s Vatican address should stop every parent, educator, policymaker, and technologist in their tracks.

For years, I have written about "The Call to Rome," the ecumenical movement uniting all faiths around the concept of human dignity in the age of AI.

After last month’s Vatican AI Summit, it is unmistakably clear:
This is no longer theory. 

This is action!

And Thursday, Pope Leo XIV said the quiet part out loud:

Children and adolescents are now uniquely vulnerable to AI manipulation and addictions. 

Their preferences, attention, identity, and choices are being shaped by systems designed for engagement, not well-being.

The data is clear, we are witnessing:
📉 150% rise in self-harm
📉 150% rise in anxiety
📉 150% rise in clinical depression.

And none of us have been spared when it comes to the suicide pandemic. 

This is not by accident: it is by [bad] design.

This is unacceptable.

And the current trajectory is lethal.

The Pope is clear:

"Policies alone will not save us.
We need daily, ongoing digital education, shaped by adults who understand these risks and supported by collaborative networks."

This is not an 'us or them' problem; it is ALL our problem, and together we need to find solutions. 

If we fail to protect parents and children, public trust in AI will break, and people will take to the streets.

We risk losing the enormous good AI could do because we ignored the harm it is already causing.

We must clean up the slop before AI can ever lift humanity.

Only with ethical frameworks at the centre can AI become an ally — not an adversary — in the development of the next generation.

It calls for the creation of a national AI infrastructure, the American Science and Security Platform, built on federal data and designed to secure U.S. dominance in AI.

The scale is enormous.
The ambition is unprecedented.
And the implications touch every citizen on Earth.

Like the Manhattan Project and the Sputnik shock, Genesis will reshape geopolitics.

🧩 A Legal Framework That Protects the State — Not the Public:


7(c) — citizens cannot claim any rights under this order


This means:

Genesis is a government directive the public cannot challenge, sue over, or appeal.


It is built for speed, not democratic accountability.



🔥 Why “Ethics” Is Seen as a Threat — The Palantir / Thiel Doctrine

Palantir’s co-founder Peter Thiel has long argued that slowing AI with global guardrails, treaties or oversight could unintentionally create the very thing the West fears:

A “one-world state” — what he sometimes calls the “Antichrist” — where centralized global governance crushes individual freedom.

In this worldview:

Ethical pauses = Western weakness

International cooperation = loss of sovereignty

Global governance = the road to oppression


🧠 The Kissinger Warning: Intelligence Without Wisdom

In the Genesis book tour, Eric Schmidt recounts a striking exchange with Henry Kissinger:

“It’s very important that you — meaning me, Eric — are not in charge of this.”

Because, Kissinger said,
“You’re not capable of understanding the implications of what you’re inventing.”

Schmidt admits this is the book’s central thesis:
The people building AI do not fully understand its social, psychological or philosophical impact.

He also highlights a key passage from the book:

AI will represent “a new intelligence… nonhuman and unconstrained” interacting with society.


That is the scale of what Genesis is trying to unify — rapidly, legally insulated, and without new congressional funding.


⚖️ The Real Stakes: Not Another Oppenheimer Moment

The danger is not AI itself.
The danger is building an all-powerful national platform before society agrees who it serves.

This cannot be decided:

behind closed doors

by elite committees

or by geopolitical fear


The Manhattan Project and the Sputnik panic showed what happens when humanity reacts after the world is already changed.

We cannot afford that again.

Our species will not survive a closed-loop AI orthodoxy, regardless of which flag flies above the cage. 

This rivalry, this competition, mirrors the catastrophic path that led to the nuclear arms race, but on an exponential timeline.

🕊️ Collaboration Over Competition: The Only Way Out

Since the launch of ChatGPT, I have insisted: We need an AI non-proliferation treaty. The only sustainable future is rooted in human collaboration, not geopolitical rivalry. 

The answer to this existential crisis is not found in a single nation's race for technological supremacy, but in shared human values. 

That is why the 'Call to Rome: AI Ethics' is our best option. 

It is a unifying, human-centric framework that protects the fundamental dignity (Imago Dei) that AI threatens to erase. 

It demands transparency, reliability, and human accountability, the very oversight that Tristan Harris confirms is missing.

We must stop being passive observers of our own obsolescence. 

The choice to act is not about optimism; it is about responsibility and the preservation of Objective Truth.

Is AI shaping a future we didn’t ask for?

Well, AI risk expert Tristan Harris believes the real issue isn’t AI itself, but the speed and intention behind it.

Tristan is today’s guest on The Diary Of A CEO, a former Google employee who focused on tech ethics and the co-founder of the Centre for Humane Technology.

He became widely known for ‘The Social Dilemma’ where he revealed how social media was already reshaping our attention and politics. This technology is evolving faster than anything we have in place to understand or manage it.

Tristan has seen how these systems are built from the inside, he’s watched how a simple goal to “keep people scrolling” created addiction and mental-health fallout.

And now, those same aims are being applied to far more powerful AI systems with people inside labs believing AGI could be only a few years to a decade away…

So we covered:

🛑Red Alert: Is the Taiwan Strait Crisis a "Ballroom Dance," or more like a Nuclear Waltz?

The world is holding its breath over the Taiwan Strait, and the stakes are enormous:

1.The World War III Tripwire
An invasion of Taiwan is an immediate global economic and military catastrophe.
The Semiconductor Chokepoint: Taiwan, home to TSMC, controls over 90% of the world’s most advanced microchips, the brains of all AI, 5G, and modern defence systems. Losing or destroying these fabs instantly triggers a global economic depression and cripples military technology worldwide.

Ambiguity vs. Law: The U.S. attempts to manage this risk with its "One China Policy" (acknowledging Beijing's claim on Taiwan without endorsing it) and "Strategic Ambiguity" (keeping military intervention deliberately vague). However, the Taiwan Relations Act (TRA) is a U.S. law that requires arms sales for Taiwan's defence, ensuring that any attack is instantly a matter of "grave concern" to the U.S.

2. The AI Sovereignty Crisis
The power to control AI is consolidating in an unprecedented way.
Nvidia's Unprecedented Power: Nvidia's market cap has recently surpassed $4.5 trillion, making it more valuable than the entire GDP of countries like Germany and far exceeding Saudi Aramco.

The Risk: This concentration of power in a single, US-based company creates a Digital Dependency. 

Every nation, government, and major corporation is reliant on Nvidia's chips. 

This presents a massive Sovereignty Risk—no government can execute a national AI strategy without their direct or indirect permission.

Necessity & The China Breakthrough: U.S. export controls, while aiming to slow China, triggered the ultimate entrepreneurial response: Necessity is the Mother of all Invention. China’s restricted access forced them to innovate in algorithmic efficiency, leading to models like DeepSeek R1 that achieved high performance with less hardware, directly contributing to the recent multi-billion-dollar correction in Nvidia's stock.

3. The Global Regulatory Gap and Coherence.
Global Push: China has its own comprehensive AI regulations, and the EU has passed the landmark EU AI Act, both of which have called for the UN to establish a global AI headquarters.

The U.S. Lag: The USA does NOT have a comprehensive federal AI Act. It relies on sector-specific rules and Executive Orders, leaving a critical void in a world rapidly demanding global standards.

Someone has a chip on their shoulder-and it is hard to say whether it is China, the US, or Nvidia. Opinion:

➡️CHIP OFF THE OLD BLOCK
The White House informed federal agencies hours ago that it will not permit Nvidia to sell its latest scaled-down AI chips to China.

Nvidia has already provided samples of the chip that they cannot sell to several of its Chinese customers.

The chip in question, called the B30A, can be utilized to train large language models when efficiently arranged in large clusters.

This is a capability that many Chinese companies require.

➡️DID ANYONE ORDER CHIPS?
An Nvidia spokesperson said that it had "zero share in China's highly competitive market for datacenter compute, and do not include it in our guidance."

Nvidia is apparently hard at work to modify the B30A's design in hopes that the U.S. administration will reconsider its stance. (The Information)

➡️ALL THAT AND NO BAG OF CHIPS?
In the meantime, NVIDIA has been facing regulatory pressure in China that indicates that modifications will not matter.

Beijing recently issued guidance requiring all new data center projects that receive any state funding to use only domestically developed chips.

Now, Chinese data centers that are less than 30% complete will have to remove all installed foreign chips and/or cancel plans to purchase them, while projects in a more advanced stage will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by Chinese authorities.

This guidance effectively shuts out Nvidia and its AI chips from a large market segment to expand into, including advanced models under U.S. export controls that apparently available in China via “grey market channels.”

💥💥So, the US is cracking the whip at Nvidia chips (in any form) that are modified for China, and in the meantime China will not allow its companies to use foreign made chips…?💥💥
