"Maaku anoo e hanga toku nei whare..." (Tongikura na Kingi Tawhiao) Kia Ora and Hello, I never appreciated how important "Partnership" was until I was asked to assist in establishing one between Local Iwi (Maaori) and Pakeha (Non-Maaori). To say it was challenging would be an understatement, it takes a lot of time, energy and work to form TRUST. But, once "Partnership" is established and all parties are on board, the benefits are enormous. Within the changing landscape of City and Residential developments, "Partnership" has become an integral, if not "THE" most crucial element, in hope of any successful outcome. "Work with a Navigator" A "Navigator" will do exactly that, Navigate through the cultural layers within a project and weave together a "Partnership" that will have purpose. This becomes even more evident when Creative professionals are called upon to interpret a "Vision" for clients. Working with the right Navigator to connect Architect, Designer, Interior/Spatial designers and Visual Artists will give even the most abstract project a much better outcome. There are some great Navigators out there and I'm excited to help add value in this space. My background and experience within the Arts, Education, Tourism and my Iwi give me a wide set of skills to apply in transforming vision into reality.
