CultureFinder.com was an innovative company that pioneered arts content and commerce on the Internet. It provided nation-wide arts listings for over 250,000 events as well as articles, message boards, chat rooms and a series of 25 weekly email newsletters covering arts events in 25 cities. It was funded initially by a group of NY arts-supporters and then went on to win a berth in the AOL Greenhouse which enabled it to provide arts coverage in the very earliest days of AOL. The company was then funded by Comcast Interactive Capital (precursor to Comcast Ventures).
