It was in the cards for me to land in Talent Acquisition (TA). I didn’t know it at the time, but I started recruiting at the age of 15 working at White Castle. I was flipping burgers and connecting people to gainful employment as a teen. Little did I know that was the start of my career in TA. Over the years, my roles have helped shape various organization's talent pools and directly contributed to success by ensuring it has the right people in the right positions. I have used my experience to inspire and empower recruiters and HR professionals that I have had the pleasure of working with. What I Do: 💡 Strategic Talent Acquisition: I develop and execute comprehensive talent acquisition strategies aimed at attracting and retaining high-caliber candidates. I ensure that my strategies align with the organization's business goals and workforce needs. 🏛 Building Relationships: This is my ultimate superpower. I believe the ability to build relationships and connections is a power that doesn't require a cape or a mask but has the potential to change lives, businesses, and the world. 😍 Team Management: Leading and building a team of high-performing recruiters is what I do. I don’t manage anyone but lead by example. I believe that teamwork makes the dream work. ✅ Recruitment Process Development: I love to develop and implement quality processes and procedures. I provide valuable input by considering possible pitfalls that others may have overlooked. ⭐ Talent Sourcing: If you are out there, I will find you. Identifying and utilizing various channels for talent sourcing is challenging yet fun. 👥 Candidate Experience: I ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, from application to onboarding, and look for ways to continually improve the recruitment process. 🎊 Employer Branding: I take this personally because you are only as good as the reputation of your company. I love enhancing an organization's reputation as an employer of choice through effective employer branding and marketing. 📚 Education: I always loved school and I am a lifelong learner. I read, listen to podcasts, and do anything that will increase my knowledge base. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others. If you want to learn something new and I know how to do it, I will teach you. ✐ Writing: When I want to relax, I pick up my notebook and I write. Writing keeps me grounded and is how I get my thoughts out to the world through my published articles, blogs, and children's books.
