As CFO, I am responsible for all aspects of executive management of finance, treasury, and accounting policy and operations. Manage and lead a staff of 10 to 15 accounting management and staff. In conjunction with the executive team, created, managed, and communicated a unified company mission, vision and value statement aligned to employee goals and performance.
•	Managed all aspects of accounting and risk operations including annual audits, corporate insurance administration, corporate business and franchise taxes, business credit reporting, pricing of services and company valuations (both as an acquirer and a seller).
•	Expanded warehouse lending capacity from under $100 million to $425 million ($700 million monthly funding capacity) in under a year. Expanded the number of partners and diversified the loan delivery profile.
•	Responsible for all aspects of annual audit process and tax planning by partnering and engaging with external audit and tax partners. Extensive network of accounting and tax professionals.
•	Eliminated over $2 million in annual spend through contract renegotiations and early cancellations.
•	Developed and coached staff to elevated levels of performance and promotion opportunities both internally and, when internal opportunities could not be identified or created, externally.
•	Successfully sold the company to a publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) in August 2022 with a deal close date in 2023

Chief Finance Officer

Freedom Mortgage

Responsible for Financial Reporting, Accounting Policy, Risk Management and Controls for Freedom Mortgage’s Retail Origination Channel.  Oversaw financial processes, procedures and growth from less than $100mm per month to peak volume over $300 mm per month.
•      Growth occurred through both organic hiring and business acquisitions
•	Managed all aspects of Division accounting and financial operations including taxes, business credit reporting, pricing of services and company valuations (both as an acquirer and a seller).
•	Managed all aspects of Finance for the Retail Origination Division.  Freedom Mortgage is the second largest GNMA originator and issuer as of Q4 2014, resulting in high degree of familiarity with GNMA underwriting standards.
•	Reported financial and operating results to the owner and senior management monthly to ensure completion of corporate performance goals.
•	Cash forecasting, management and treasury operations: responsible for cash and corporate credit accounts of $5 to $10 million, including fiduciary trust accounts.
•	Designed and implemented controls for monthly financial statement production and monthly close process.
•       Designed and implemented forecasting processes including upgrade of accounting technology platform to Oracle Fusion and Hyperion Planning Budgeting Cloud Service (PBCS) Forecasting
•      Provided annual audit support of the corporate annual audit including reconciled account schedules and balance sheet transaction audit schedules
•      Oversaw payroll, commission, and benefits processes and reporting in order to verify expense compliance with Division policy

Residential Credit Solutions, Inc

•  Completed the budgeting, planning and forecasting process for a $1 billion+ loan servicing portfolio business.  Created and oversaw the process for operating and capital budgets.
•  Optimized staffing through development of a production model and created the process for tracking and reporting KPIs that impact staffing and efficiency.
•  Lead the process for measuring and evaluating ad hoc P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow impact resulting from acquisitions.
•  Provided support and guidance on pricing, break-even, and costs for new business proposals. 
•  Managed Treasury operations, wires, liquidity, and a $300 million warehouse line of credit.
•  Managed and led a staff of financial analysis professionals.

VP Financial Planning & Analysis

Morgan Stanley US Residential Home Loans

•  Completed the budgeting, planning and forecasting process for a $2 billion loan origination business.  Created and oversaw the process for operating and capital budgets and monthly financial reports for 3 mortgage sales and operations centers nationwide.

Fremont Investment & Loan

•  Oversaw budgeting, planning and forecasting for a $32 billion loan origination business.  Included supervising the process for creating budgets and monthly financial reports for 10 sales and operations centers nation-wide, with over 100 cost centers.  Developed a top-down annual profit plan.  Reconciled division profit plan to the corporate forecast roll-up.
•  Produced monthly board reports of key corporate revenue and expense drivers.
•  Provided guidance and recommendations to senior management with regard to required staffing levels, capacity, and efficiency.
•  Evaluated performance vs. targets used to determine division and senior management incentive payouts.
•  Supported IT and technology change committee by defining, submitting, and reviewing automated report and process requests.
•  Managed a staff of finance professionals to complete tasks above.

Division Finance Officer

Aames Financial

•  Developed a top-down profit plan for a $5 billion mortgage real estate investment trust that included 2 primary delivery channels, 20 divisions, and over 150 cost centers.  In one year, implemented reporting methods that heightened awareness of expense over runs and reduced variances from 17% on average, to 11%. 
•  Utilized transfer pricing and product profitability data for reporting, forecasting and analysis.
•  Evaluated performance vs. target (profit plan) used to determine division and senior management incentive payouts.
•  Supervised amortization of pools pursuant to FAS 91 to provide Accounting Department with the necessary amortization schedules to book deferred origination costs, fees, and premiums.
•  Responsible for ensuring the financial reporting of apx 100 retail locations and 2 nation-wide processing centers accurately rolled-up to corporate level reporting.
•  Managed implementation of upgrades to reporting databases (Hyperion Essbase).
