I honed my craft at Northwestern University and launched my career at the Miami Herald, where the thrill of uncovering and sharing diverse human stories became my daily pursuit. The dynamic, purpose-driven nature of journalism resonates deeply with my professional values, making a non-mission-focused role inconceivable to me. Despite the challenges faced by the journalism industry, including economic pressures, public distrust, misinformation, and the advent of artificial intelligence, my optimism remains unwavering. I firmly believe that there will always be a need for individuals who are committed to sharing stories that embody fairness, accuracy, and honesty. 🎉HIGHLIGHTING KEY CAREER ACHIEVEMENTS 🏆 • Wrote my first front-page article at the age of 14 — and went on to write hundreds more — for the York Dispatch and Sunday News in York, Pa. • Investigated a wrongful conviction, culminating in a videotaped confession from an alternate suspect, during my time at Northwestern University. • Authored a book on the rise of craft beer while working as an editor and columnist at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. • Served as Esquire’s beer writer for over five years, contributing extensively to the publication's coverage of the global craft beer scene. • Initiated and developed an awards program to recognize and celebrate the culinary excellence of Miami’s chefs, restaurants, and food community during my role as food editor at the Miami Herald. • Led as Editor in Chief of INDULGE, a high-profile magazine at the Miami Herald, where we garnered awards, championed diversity and philanthropy, and notably enhanced the brand's reach and reputation. 🤝 Open to connecting!
