Content Producer (6 Month Contract)

I joined the Multimedia Team to bring video production skills and experience to Circle Housing. My role was to work with the Multimedia Manager and designers to develop an agile, cost-effective and high-quality video offering. I left Circle to pursue a new opportunity when my role was under consultation. They have since continued to develop their in-house offering and created a video production role post-restructure. 

I advised on suitable equipment, systems and processes and helped to develop video formats and workflows. We produced a range of videos in the 6 months I was part of the team including:

- Filmed and edited video messages from the Chief Executive
- Storyboarded, filmed, edited and produced films for internal use
- Shot and edited a film about resident involvement that was screened in a local cinema
- Created videos to support staff under consultation with job hunting and CV skills
- Screen captures for the recruitment team's FAQs to reduce number of questions and phone calls 
- Storyboarded and filmed with an in-house trainer to produce an online course on Personal Safety
- Developed and delivered a video skills workshop for young people in a supported living environment

I worked freelance as a Producer helping make films for regional and national brands. Clients included Barclays, UEA, Reef One & Zenith Home Improvements. I attended creative meetings and assisted with client pitches and built budgets and schedules. I organised the shoots, booking crews and equipment and devised shooting schedules and travel plans. On location I was responsible for health and safety and managing client expectations. Problem solving and the ability to change direction at short notice were key.

Video Producer (Freelance)

An extremely varied, project-based role that included supporting the wider department in a busy office environment. I worked with several production managers to plan the production of factual entertainment series and one-offs for UK and US television. Broad duties included creating and managing budgets and schedules, risk assessments, insurance, travel and transport, preparing scripts and transcribing interviews, data entry, photo manipulation and management, carnets and excess baggage, social media, US visas, HD workflows and more.
