Product marketing manager and strategist bringing product insights and building early stage ventures and scaling solutions for corporates and startups. Below is my approach to ideation and building projects in 5 steps, with brief examples from my past experiences: 1. As a trendwatcher I start with a bigger perspective, moving from scenarios of the future to commercialization potential and go-to-market. And among my startup co-founders I’m known for bringing creative solutions to the table! 2. I research the market for 2 things: competitive landscape, and user preferences, to evaluate the commercial potential, user scenarios, and go-to-market strategy. I’ve done this as a cofounder of APPE (social media startup). I’ve brought a clear positioning, user segment and strategic partnership concept to a social media, which started from a mere ‘Insta substitute’ idea. 3. As a product manager I generate and test product hypotheses from my research. At VK Group I’ve started a new team to build a consistent process of turning trends into business opportunities. With both VK Group and APPE teams I’ve generated and tested tens of product hypotheses (sometimes per week!). 4. As an ex-Bain consultant I always use a highly numerical and structured approach. This helps me prioritize initiatives, assign metrics and build concise models of expected returns on investments. At Bain I gained experience of building quantitative and process models of things as huge as COVID impact on the entire global travel industry. 5. My corporate finance experience was a perfect school of communication and management of complex projects! I’ve worked on budget approvals, C-level buy-in of the initiatives, and investor communications - making sure that my initiative gets executed.
