I am currently working as a Broker Support Officer at HSBC intermediaries, helping brokers to place mortgage business with HSBC. I am part of the team that has brought in high volumes of lending in 2020. Previously I was a highly successful Mortgage Relationship Officer / Mortgage Specialist for HSBC Direct, working in a fast paced customer centric, regulated environment. I specialised in business retention and Buy to Let mortgages. I actively case-managed customers’ high volumes of mortgage applications to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction and timely execution. I am very passionate in whatever I set my attention to. I hold the CII Certificate in Mortgage Advice, which is the CII equivalent to the CeMap, which I successfully passed, on the first sitting. I have since topped this up myself to the CII Certificate in Advanced Mortgage Advice and taken other additional CII exams. As a member of the CII, I have attended (prior to the pandemic) the quarterly networking events for financial planners and mortgage professionals across the country. I am business-minded, a self-starter, an innovative ‘blue-sky’ thinker (whilst also being complimented for my ability to pick up on the little details) and love to work across cultural and linguistic boundaries. I have transferable skills, having previously worked in law, taking the LLM (Masters in Law) and the LPC (Legal Practice Course). This has informed me to further my career within financial services. In addition, I have qualified as a teacher in communication skills, worked in debt advisory, participated in various international courses in Law and undertaken a further management course. In my spare time, I love to read the FT, Guardian Law, Economist, Bloomberg and various legal and financial publications. Other than financial services, my interests are in law, politics, current affairs and political philosophy.
