Content will not get you leads.

(unless you're damn good at copywriting)

But it will get you trust
↳ which will make it easier to sell.

There's 3 types of content that builds trust.

1/ Story content

People like to connect on an emotional level.

When they can relate to your experiences, they start trusting you more.

Share times when you faced the same problems they have now.

It's the best way to "earn" their attention.

Then show how you found a solution.

2/ Authority Content

This is where you show people what's really causing their problems.

→ Not the surface issues they see.
→ But the deeper stuff they don't.

In other words:

Get really good at explaining to people their problems better than they can understand it themselves.

You'll get more "trust" points.

3/ "How I" content

→ How I overcame 'X' problem
→ How I book 4 sales call p/week
→ How I helped Prakriti achieve 'thing'

People love to follow someone who's already done what they want to do.

It builds trust, and gives your future clients "free value" that they can use to start seeing some results.

The coaches I invested in shared a ton of "value" on how they solved similar problems to me.

So focus on those 3 types:

→ Story content to connect
→ Authority content to educate
→ "How I" content to pre-sell

So why do you need a coach?

Here’s what I know: 

There's so much information out there that people can't figure out what works for them.

They spend months jumping from one strategy to another.

You'd think it would be easy for them to know what to do. 

But that's not the case (97% of time).

Here's how it goes:

→ You try something for a week.
→ It doesn't work immediately.
→ You see someone's success story.
→ You switch to their strategy.
→ Repeat until next week.

This is more common than you think.

The ONLY reason you need a coach:

→ Clarity and direction.

The cost of "free" information is spending months doing the wrong things.

Become "investable" before you ask people to invest.

Let’s be honest:

Most coaches here on LinkedIn aren't worth it.

(I know from talking to a lot of them)

People don't pay you for knowledge.
↳ Most of it is freely available.

But how does that "knowledge" apply to you?

→ To your specific situation?
→ To your specific problems?
→ To your specific mindset?

That’s why people invest in coaching.

It gives them a "shortcut" to the result they want.

They know what to do.
↳ But can't get themselves to do it.

Fear, self-doubt and "what ifs" keep them stuck in the same place for months at a time.

So what makes you "investable" as a coach?

→ Make complex decisions simple
→ Become the "this guy gets it"
→ Filter what matters for THEM
→ Set realistic targets daily
→ Question their procrastination
→ Guide their next step (not YOUR next step)
→ Strategize FOR them (not WITH them)
→ Ask feedback then measure & improve

Everything else is just “noise”  from doing the only things that will get your clients the result they want.

There's 2 ways to sign clients on LinkedIn:

1) Be really good at sales & conversations
2) Or be really good at content & copywriting

Most people suck at both.

→ They write what they like
→ They send "lets connect!" DMs
→ They're terrified of what people think

In other words...

Anything that gets them clients
↳ is the thing they are afraid/hate doing.

Here's how to change it:

1/ Reframe 

Old belief:
→ Reaching out to people feels "salesy"

Reframe:
→ I can change someone's life as a coach.

Old belief:
→ Selling in my content will push people away.

Reframe:
→ One heartfelt testimonial is worth 100+ rejections.

(I know from experience)

2/ STOP hiding

Your skills are worthless if no one knows about it.

Every time you avoid making an offer or starting a conversation, someone out there is doing it.

If you don't reach out, someone else will.

(and take away your client)

People rarely reach out to 97% of service providers.

You have to make the move.

3/ Your mindset

Write this down:

You can't outwork a problem that needs a mindset shift.

If you aren't signing clients (and months have gone by), chances are you're stuck in a "false progress" loop.

→ You're doing the wrong things
→ Over and over again every day
→ Expecting results to “one day” come

The ONE thing you need to do to sign clients is:

Have more conversations.
Have more conversations.
Have more conversations.

(that’s 3 but you’ll forgive me)

Get over your fear of reaching out.

People are here on LinkedIn to do business (mostly).

They should expect to be reached out at some point:

→ Either as a lead
→ Or as a service provider.

Your ideal clients are scrolling LinkedIn.

They come across your post and think:

→ Does this coach understand my situation?
→ Do they have a solution I haven't tried?

That's it.

If it's a "no" → they move on.

If it's a "yes" → they read on.

That's why obsessing over how people perceive you is often a waste of time.

Your posts either help people or they don't.

What does this mean for you as a coach?

→ Stop overthinking every action.

When you focus on solving real "coaching" problems instead of impressing people, your content naturally connects with those who need your help.

Logically, that makes sense.

Realistically most of you don't get it.

You still obsess over things that don't matter.

You still "worry" about things that don't count.

All while ignoring the things that actually do.

Your prospects want solutions, not theory & explanations.

They want you to make difficult things FEEL doable.

So the next time you post, ask yourself:

→ Am I actually helping or just posting?
→ Am I actually solving or just talking?
→ Am I simplifying or just complicating?

The answers will decide your results.

Selling online doesn't work.

Not the way most people do it.

→ Spamming
→ Pitch slapping intros
→ Treating people like numbers

You know what works? Actually helping.

→ Showing up with real solutions
→ That your "future clients" can use
→ Before they can trust you with their $

People work hard for their money.

For them it's a precious resource.

Why would they trust some guy online?

That's why "pre-selling" with valuable content works better than any sales pitch.

It makes your outreach efforts 10x easier.

The reason you keep hearing:

"It's too expensive"

"I'll get back to you"

Or "Appreciate the kind offer but..."

..is because your content isn't doing a good enough job of pre-selling your audience on your offer.

Your content should: 

→ Answer their questions
→ Address their objections
→ Shift their limiting beliefs

That's when your sales calls become easy conversations because the prospect trusts you from the content.

Go read your last 5 posts and answer this:

Is my content DOING the job?

If NOT, then you need to work on your content before selling to anyone online.

Why you shouldn't start a coaching business.

(things I wish I knew before starting mine)

1/ You're doing it for the money

It doesn't work.

If you're not willing to help people for free, you won't build the skills that will eventually get you paid.

→ You'll struggle for a long time
→ Without making any money
→ Feeling like a total loser

Go do marketing or something.
↳ It'll pay you much faster.

2/ You’re tempted by the lifestyle

It's tempting to see "7-figure" coaches.

And daydream about the possibilities.

You start comparing your "day 200" to their "year 5".

→ You try their strategies
→ Thinking it will work for you
→ Only to be disappointed beyond belief

Most 7-figure coaches have seen zero success for years before they got to play with the big boys.

Be careful who you follow.

3/ You haven't coached yourself

The most important client is "you".

Your entire business depends on 

→ Your mindset (+ skillset)
→ Your willingness to sacrifice
→ Your willingness to fail and look stupid

(because you don’t know what you’re doing)

If you're not in a clear headspace, coaching is the last thing you want to do.

People can sense it.
They won't trust you.

They won't want to be coached by you.

→ Work on yourself first
→ Before helping anyone else

Then things will fall in place.

4/ You’re doing it solo

It works - but not without a cost.

And the cost is self-doubt, anxiety and uncertainty.

→ Will this business work?
→ Where will I get my next client?
→ How long is it going to take me?
→ Who will pay me for this though?
→ Do I have to do this every day for 5 years?

These questions will test the life out of you.

(been there - i call it “rites of passage”)

If you can afford it, invest in a coach.

If you can't, be prepared for the turmoil.
