Senior Director of Sales, Lynda.com North America Academic and Government

Responsible for operations behind LinkedIn's $1B Talent Solutions business, including sales operations in all regions, as well as customer success operations. Also responsible for third-party sales partnerships. Drove the redefinition of sales operations at LinkedIn to be at the core of building, launching and sustaining all infrastructure behind the sales team, as well as serving as "COO" of the business on a day-to-day basis. In this "COO" capacity, manage strategic programs, forecasting, sales policies, territory planning, annual headcount planning, sales incentive design and analytical capacity for all global regions through a group of talented sales operations managers. Third promotion in less than five years.

Senior Director, Global Sales Strategy and Operations

Responsible for sales operations for LinkedIn's largest division, representing 50% of total corporate revenue for LinkedIn. Work directly with global VP of division as chief of staff.  Second promotion in less than two years.

Director, Global Sales Operations

Promoted to responsibility for building out operations discipline in rapidly growing Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.  Also responsible for expansion planning and execution in Europe.

We all started somewhere. My first job as a kid was as a paper boy for the Peninsula Times Tribune, a now-defunct newspaper. I learned about hard work, time management, and organizational skills. I learned about customer management (sending notes tucked into the papers introducing myself and offering myself as a resource). I learned about billing and collections. And I started working on my people management skills, hiring my little sister to run the part of the route that was closest to our house, and hiring my little brother to clean up the newspaper scraps at the end of the process of folding dozens of papers.
