This week, I almost skipped my annual alumni retreat.

I wasn’t feeling like myself and didn’t want people to see me low.

Often when we’re not okay, we hide.

We pull back and tell ourselves it’s easier to be alone.

So I showed up. Not at my best.

But I did.
