Senior Acquisition Analyst (1102)

This course is attended by up to 18 Air Force officer, civilian, and enlisted personnel assigned as primary and additional duty QAPCs.  In this course I cover the basic responsibilities of a QAPC but go in depth to foster confidence to critically question requirements and contract actions pursuant to sound business judgement.  This course prepares individuals with no background to perform as Quality Assurance Personnel Coordinators by teaching them to train and manager local Contracting Officer Representatives, review and approval Statements of Work or Performance Work Statements, and perform a variety of inspections for written reporting.

Instructor of the USAF Contract Specialist course (formerly MRAC).  As a subject matter expert I have taught classes with up to 12 students for 8 weeks attended by Army, Marines, USAF Guard/Reserve, USAF non-prior service, and Foreign Military.  The course prepares individuals with no background in Contract Management to perform the role of a Contract Specialist and Contracting Officer Representative. As an instructor I tailor my teaching style to keep students engaged and focused on developing critical thinking and questioning skills.  My ultimate goal is to cultivate in each student an engaged contracting mindset they can use immediately and expand over the course of their careers.

AETC Instructor: Contract Management - TSgt/MSgt (6C071)

As a Contracting Officer I was warranted both at home-station and overseas.  I executed contracts valued up to $5M for heavy construction, O&M COTS supplies, and professional services.  I conducted many source selections using a variety of evaluation strategies from LPTA to Trade Off and organized subject matter experts to conduct Technical Evaluations in accordance with the FAR, DFARS, AFFARS, and all other regulations and laws.  I regularly was responsible for preparing & signing Determinations and Findings, Justification and Approvals, Source Selection Decision Documents, and responding to FOIA requests.

This project was conducted with a hard deadline of two months; in addition to all course materials it required me to gain the designation during development as well as fly out to conduct the course upon completion.  Course material delivered included a Master and Student course book (30k words), Slide Deck (75 slides), and Practice Test (100 Questions).
