Combining the creative with the commercial to increase local brand awareness, number of leads and ensure that both the teams on the ground and myself are achieving targets and KPIs. Although remote, I work alongside the Marketing department to deliver high-level communications, PR & social media strategy/content and maintain brand look and feel across the branches that I support and oversee to ensure the best possible performance from the get-go.

Marketing & Business Development Manager

Getting under the skin of more than 50 branches around the UK to boost performance by understanding the local market. An ironic job title as my patch covered between Truro & Newcastle upon Tyne. I combined sales experience with company knowledge and a passion for getting people fired up! This role required me to pull on different strings depending on the local need. This could be anything from branch signage and fit-out to hosting events or a complete data deep-dive to help improve performance.

Marketing Manager

Creating copy for offline and digital platforms including brochures and flyers, social media posts, web pages and blog posts. Interviewing employees and customers and also photographing and videoing where required. 

Writing to improve SEO organic rankings and using key words effectively.

Working to tight deadlines and ensuring copy is of the highest standard. This was a varied and enjoyable role writing about health and social care in peoples' homes and the conditions which they can be affected by.

Content Writer

A fast paced sales and customer service role. Selling home care services through inbound and outbound calling, live-chat platforms and ongoing communications with customers and their families. This role was targeted and required efficient sales to achieve the goals set. 

Excellent company knowledge, a calm and friendly manner and the ability to work under pressure whilst dealing with emotive subject matter was essential.

A week long work placement in the Global newsroom, covering news stories across Coventry, Warwickshire and the West Midlands. 

Placement included identifying stories, interviewing, and writing and reading news bulletins.

A great short term placement at Worcestershire's local newspapers delivering local news, stories and features for various publications across the county.

Currently PR Manager for the Polaris Community 🌟, a nationwide children's services provider with fostering agencies, adoption agencies, SEND and SEMH schools, and residential homes for children. 

A love of people and yakking led to a career in content and comms, and now I help organisations with social purpose to share their stories. 📚
