The Jed Foundation (JED)

Responsible for developing and implementing JED's programs in our mission to promote emotional health and prevent suicide among high school and higher ed students throughout Texas. Lead a Texas-based team, including a JED Campus Advisor and a PK-12 School Mental Health Specialist, who work closely with each school creating a customized experience for their students' needs. Works closely with the recruiting and onboarding team to implement programs that align with the organization's mission and goals, and will focus on specific needs for the Texas region.

TakeRoot Leadership Consulting & Coaching

TakeRoot exists to help young professionals develop the skills, knowledge, and practice to become tomorrow's leaders. TakeRoot offers customized programs and workshops for organizations and higher education institutions. We also do one-on-one coaching.

We focus on individual and team development through customized, interactive workshops and programs that increase capacities to lead self, lead others, and lead in systems. Our target audience is early-career professionals, in the 20-35 age range. We also work with managers to provide tools and best-practices on how to develop, manage, and retain millennials, and to create a coaching and mentoring culture in their organizations.

EMERGE Fellowship

Serve as a key senior fundraiser and an active participant in increasing EMERGE’s financial sustainability through developing and implementing an infrastructure needed to elevate and secure philanthropic funds at the $10M+ level annually. Responsible for expanding and diversifying our pipeline of individual donors through effective solicitation, cultivation, and stewardship strategies and elevating our fundraising events. Manage the Director of Individual Giving, Senior Manager of Special Events and Stewardship, and the Senior Coordinator of Development Operations; support with team culture building, developing effective communication, and feedback systems.

As the Managing Director of the College Success team, I was responsible for setting the short-term and long-term vision for college Scholar support. I managed the development of programs and initiatives designed to ensure that our EMERGE college Scholars feel supported through graduation from selective colleges, which included direct outreach, and college partnerships cultivation.

As one of the first full-time staff members of the EMERGE non-profit organization, began the process of building out curricular framework, staffing, training, and district partnership cultivation; participated in signature college trips summer of 2015 to create a future philosophy and strategic approach to the value of experiential learning as it relates to aspiration building.

Director of Programming

Rice University

Represent Leadership Rice to campus and the community; respond to requests from students, faculty, staff, and the external community; market and promote Leadership Rice to the internal and external communities; manage technology requirements; convene and lead committees, task forces, or other groups as needed to implement Leadership Rice programs.

Assess the effectiveness of Leadership Rice and develop, enhance and execute programs in line with the vision.

Prepare and deliver leadership-related workshops and seminars. Support Leading Edge Workshop and LEAD 150 class, by developing modules, executing registration and marketing, facilitating curriculum, training student teaching assistants, tracking participant progress, and assessing the program.

College Summit

Serve as a facilitator and consultant to the organization with curriculum & professional development trainings, as well as pilot programs.

Served as one of two organizational trainers on Pathways to Change – a College Summit organizational effort to increase organizational effectiveness, build capacity, and align org-wide efforts through professional development.

Drove improvement of workshop curriculum to maximize youth leadership development. Ensured that workshop curriculum is improved to maximize student goals achievement, and to successfully develop their leadership skills and abilities.

Education Specialist/Consultant

Acted as liaison to high schools (primarily with principals, teachers and counselors); ensured regular and consistent communication with partners; troubleshot challenges and disseminated best practices to the team.

Ensured the successful implementation and delivery of College Summit at new and veteran partner schools, including student and teacher recruitment, orientations, participation, and successful implementation of the curriculum.

Managed communication with principals. Gathered and disseminated programmatic data and results; used data to strategize with principals around maximizing the impact of our tools and trainings.
