Fergie was responsible for the commercialisation of Yepic AI’s patent pending neural network. In just over a year Fergie achieved £200k in contracted sales, developed a pipeline of £3.5M ARR and brought in £500k investment.

Responsible for the management and delivery of the European Institute of Innovation & Technology’s flagship digital innovation programme in the UK & Ireland including;

*) Launch of Satellite Offices in Scotland and Ireland aligned to key national strategic priorities
*) Development of an annual £50M pipeline of Seed and Seed+ investment opportunities
*) Operational management of 20+ portfolio startups and applied research projects each year
*) Creation of 3 Doctoral Training Centres with City, University of Surrey and The University of Edinburgh
*) Strategic oversight of 40+ university, research, SME and corporate partners
*) Management of 80 pax co-working space and annual calendar of events

The EIT Digital Accelerator evolved into the leading European deep tech venture programme with a portfolio of over 140 startups and €900M of investment across 20 countries and 5 strategic focus areas. 

Fergie worked as part of the leadership group to realise the transformation from seed to growth stage before leading the Smart Cities & Transport strategic focus area from the UK.

A gamified task and project management application. $100k was raised and an MVP with early revenues was built before deciding to not pursue the business and return to Europe.

Compass Offices

With a $15M Series B investment, Compass Offices was the fastest growing serviced office provider in Asia with 4,500 seats across 30 centres and 8 countries. Fergie co-led the Sales & Marketing team of 20 and relaunched the group’s marketing activities across the key markets of Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan.

I'm a seasoned entrepreneur and investment consultant with over 20 years of experience in scaling startups, commercialising IP, running accelerators and building ecosystems.

In 2024 I'm expanding my research and grant funding consultancy having secured €12.5M in Series A grant and equity funding from the EIC Accelerator in 2023. Prior to this I managed £100M+ seed funding pipelines focused on deep tech and set up Doctoral Training Centres with leading UK universities covering AI, 5G, Cyber, Fintech, Autonomous Systems and other applied research.
