Jungle Scout

Staff Engineer and Technical Lead for Cobalt by Jungle Scout (previously Downstream Impact, https://www.downstreamimpact.com/), that provides market research, analytics, insights and automates management of Amazon and Walmart Advertising Campaigns. At various times, lead a team of 5-8 engineers in development of features, infrastructure, and automation processes for a Django (Python) API, a React.js front-end, and numerous python-based serverless back-end microservices in AWS. Develop CRUD APIs, Analytical Query Generator, Ingestion Services, ETL flows. Work with Business and Product to manage prioritization and technical requirements.

Accomplishments:
- Integrated into acquirer's (Jungle Scout) stack as the Downstream Impact infrastructure replaced their legacy application after acquisition.
- Pioneered inception of Dashboards, Alerts, Rulebooks, and Insights features that were later adopted and maintained by the team.
- Migration of analytical back-end from Django-based to a SQL Query Builder built on top of SQLAlchemy, maintaining legacy functionality and seamless transition for improved developer experience and performance for customers.

Work closely with Product Team and customers to architect solutions, plan and prioritize features and bug fixes, and schedule releases. Implement application (business logic), test, and internal automation (Continuous Delivery) code. Sole manager of production system processing hundreds of millions of events daily. Responsible for hiring for and managing small engineering team of 1-4 remote engineers.
