Experienced in advising clients with little or no experience in North America (newcomers, future immigrants, students) on job search strategies, I am currently helping on average 200-250 Conestoga College students per semester develop professional documents, prepare for the expectations of a workplace, and learn workplace survival skills. As part of the Skills International team and as an advisor within the government-funded Canadian Immigrant Integration Program, my detailed resume/cover letter reviews and job search tips improved the level of confidence - and employment status - of disadvantaged clients who otherwise underestimated their own skills and abilities. My other passion, Information Technology Business Analysis, made it easier to navigate today’s digital world present in every industry. I am experienced in process improvement, stakeholder engagement, business/functional requirement documentation, level-1 technical/user support, manual software testing, SQL queries (SQL Server, Microsoft Access), and a variety of MS Office products. I worked successfully within Waterfall and Agile methodologies and actively contributed during project life cycles. I have improved everyday work processes to save time (employer's/vendors' money). I am fluent in English and Serbo-Croatian languages (Serbian, Bosnian, Croatian, and Montenegrin), and have a basic understanding of Macedonian, Czech-Slovak, Bulgarian, and Russian. From my fourth language classes, I bring the ability to say "I can't speak Turkish" in Turkish. Fluently. A strong supporter of diversity.
