My most recent role is a paid part time position, furthering my Marketing & Comms knowledge in a more professional capacity (rather then just casual work experience like it was before). I am responsible for coming up with new, and also re purposing existing content, that gets published across a range of platforms (social media based and professional). I also check how well we’re performing on all these channels and have a duty to spot areas for improvement- in order to make our content shine bright!

Digital Communications Apprentice

Now a part of the Marketing & Communications Sector, I was just starting to learn the ropes of creating accessible content, that also had flair and my own stamp on it. I had just come off the back of training with Horses for several years - so it was quite the culture shock! However, I found my creative personality played to my advantage and it helped me to relax as I was tasked with assisting the college’s Communications Lead write, upload and edit a variety of college style content!!

Here, I was much more driven and knowledgeable about horses. I had developed a passion for the ‘care’ aspect, and was able to take more of a lead - lunging horses with minimal guidance and able to competently muck out several stables efficiently too. I really found my groove within the Industry here! But sadly, had to withdraw soon after, due to medical reasons…

In this role, I first learnt how to properly care for horses and got the soft skills needed to adapt to a busy, thriving equine yard. I was taught all the basic tasks (listed below) and left with lots of confidence, willingness, and the ability to perform these jobs to a very solid standard!

THE MARKET BOSWORTH SCHOOL

This role involved managing a tutor group of Year 7’s along with another pupil from my year group, ensuring that all children were safe, organised and happy. I offered pastoral support and guidance to those that needed it, as well as signing school planners and teaching workshops and lessons a few times a week.
