Nesiya conducts programs that inspire Jewish young people from diverse backgrounds to enrich Jewish life for themselves and others. Nesiya educates young people to deepen their relationship with Judaism the Jewish people, and the land of Israel. Nesiya trains young people to develop themselves as unique individuals and as contributing members of the larger Jewish community. The Nesiya model of experiential learning combines community building, outdoor adventure, creative study, community service, and the arts.

P'tach Libi

P’tach Libi (“Open My Heart”) offers a unique fusion of wilderness experience with Traditional Jewish ideas that imbues students with the tools necessary to develop a strong and lasting Jewish identity. We offer the very best of informal and experiential education that is first and foremost, deeply rooted in our Tradition and ideals. Participants in P’tach Libi develop invaluable communication and problem solving skills that will build a positive Jewish identity that will serve them as they set goals and priorities shaping the type of adults they will become. Ultimately, the experience will leave them forever changed and better equipped to face the challenges of the modern world with a strong, personal and enduring Torah framework.

We offer seminars in which we explore themes of identity, leadership and spirituality. All of our programs engage our participants with Traditional Jewish texts through non-traditional means with the aim of our participants forging their own unique perspectives on ancient questions. Depending on the group and the season, we will utilize the most appropriate outdoor "classroom".

The project is a wilderness based experiential education program, presently aimed at strengthening the youth-at-risk in Israel, and also working with Anglo teens (who are often "at-risk" as well!) as well as gap-year programs.

Designed and led monthly back-packing trips from 2 to 5 days exploring the Israeli wilderness and working on character development as well as leadership, group building and team skills.
